Spoke with Budds yesterday and they charge 25 flat.

Toronto/Parkview/Etobicoke Service charges a higher rate if you didn't buy the car from them.

I used to be able to get loaners at Maranello for free. I wonder if I'm going to get that $25 fee on Monday when I drop off the car for a software update.

Yes, Parkview Toronto charge 20 dollar for their customer as Admin fees. For others, they charge 45 dollars/day not sure about Admin fee extra...

please update the outcome of your Monday visit at Maranello..would be helpful for GTA Bimmers..

Took my car in for recall near the start of this month and didn't need to pay for a loaner. Wanted a X3 as a loaner, but they were out so I ended up with a X1 instead. This was at Town & Country BMW and was also where I purchased the vehicle.

So Town+Country is giving out BMW loaners now instead of the rental cars they used to provide as loaners.

Went to Maranello yesterday and they did charge a $20 admin fee for the loaner. There's also something that says that it's $65 per day if returned late.

Still a lot better than going to Parkview and BMW Toronto, they wanted to charge me $65 and I wouldn't be surprised if they put a $20 admin fee on top.

That is correct. I think the admin fee is $25. I also think there is a difference if you purchase the car from them, but I didn't, so I didn't bother to ask.

Yeah, it's not a big deal.

I got my car from Autohaus but they charge the regular rate for a loaner even if you got the car from them.

sometimes the $20 is a good deal when you don't have to fill it up with gas

This must be new...never paid anything for a BMW loaner/rental at Parkview for many years (09-13)(accept for filling up the gas tank which was expected - you pay for what you use.)

Why would you do that? Why not treat it like it was yours?

I've never had to return a bmw loaner with the same gas level in Vancouver. They tell me that they pump their own gas at the dealer so they don't need us to do it. Maybe that has changed.

Agreed. If you put 89 octane, you're just giving the dealership more ammunition to strip away benefits from loyal customers...

Taking my car into Town+Country for service in a week and they didn't mention anything about a charge for a loaner car, will report back if there is.

Yeah I'm just going to give it to the Mississauga BMW which is very close to my office and not deal with the BMW Toronto in the future. I only called them coz apparently I was supposed to get better treatment than other dealership as I purchased the car from them.

Technically I can work around my schedule and use the shuttle service and all that but as a customer I'm extremely disappointed with the way they deal with the situation. They should tell potential customers these nuances when they are trying to make a sale or not talk about it at all. Definitely not use it as a selling point IMO.
I went to MaranelloBMW today to fix connected drive issue today. I drove all the way from waterloo and this reprogramming took them a whole damn day(9-5). Dammit. Never go there again and buy any car from them

Going in for some headlight recall today. I wonder if I can get them to swing me a free loaner.
