http://www.7post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1063817 2) 3 series LCI spy shots with apparent updated engine info. Looks like now the 340 will be released this summer but the 330 may not until the following year. Seems odd to me seeing as the B48 for the 330 is already being used in other vehicles: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1062961 At the end of the day, nothing is official until BMW gives us a press release. That said, it would make no sense to introduce the new engines a year after the LCI, when they are going to be used in the MY2016 7 series for the and are already in the mini which is released. |

Also keep in mind that this conversation is about the U.S. market. Europe will get 330i at LCI. |

What about F36? ... I guess that will come a year later?
I have to say I'm a little distraught. I am picking up my new 435 GC F36 in January and in a few months it will already be out dated by 440's. |

It will be the end of 2016 before you start seeing LCI F36s on the road. Enjoy your car man.

As soon as you see 340's on the road, the 335s will become 'old', or worse associated with 330s. God damn SA, I'm going to kill him for not telling me about this... |

Your SA has zero official info about any 340i, much less a 440i F36 that won't even be on the road, 1.5 years from today. |

It's like buying a computer... there's always a newer, better model coming out around the corner. IMHO, if you always wait for the next big thing you'll always be waiting. Have a blast with your new car and don't worry about it. Even after the new model comes out your car will still be awesome.

Heh, and here I bought an M3 as late in the cycle as possible because I wanted the N/A V8. I couldn't care less what the badge on the new one says. Experience the car for what it is and forget about what else is out there. It leads to a happier ownership experience.

Try 3 years of putting up with the thought that you missed all the new possible updates. As someone mentioned in another thread, the updates will be more than skin/badge deep .... updated nav software, idrive controller, led lights, new front lights and facia, new engines, more hp/torque, new model designation, wider array of color choices ... possibly some updated interior touches, including full leather dash. |

I suppose if I cared that much about having the absolute most current automobile, I'd follow ynguldyn's posts very closely before purchasing (he provides a lot of leaked update details). I do the same thing with my computer purchases by following Mac Rumors. If a computer is due for an update, I wait. Not trying to kick you when you're down. Just thinking of ways to help. Sometimes I feel better about a bad decision once I've identified how I'll avoid making the same mistake twice.
