Apologies to the extent that this is a naïve or simple question but the ergonomics of the iDrive are not the simplest...could someone please explain to me how to clear the items from the iDrive; for example:

1. How do I delete a message? the "connected section" [figured this one out, the split screen confused me at first but then I saw the option to delete the message!];

2. How do I delete a destination form the "nav section" [figured this one out, the split screen confused me at first but then I saw the option to delete the message!]

3. How do I delete the reference / setting for one of the quick access buttons [figured this one out, hold the 1 and the 8 buttons together for 5 plus seconds and follow on the on screen instructions]

4. Etc.

Thanks in advance noting that I am hoping that there is a standard way of doing this.
