I am in the city as well (old Irving park / Mayfair). Also a 2018 340i zhp RWD with 6speed power kit and big brakes. If you have any questions - lmk.
Also if you need a fantastic bmw tech - I can suggest one. What size wheels do you have? |

congrats! also have a 2018 340i. only diff is i have xdrive and 8speed auto.
just like you, was my first bmw. previous car was a 2012 ford focus, previous to that was a 2002 mazda. so it was a massive upgrade. been about 2 years now, i've put 50,000kms on it, and zero issues (except one o2 sensor). I love driving it every single day. I honestly forget how well it drives until I sit in or drive other cars. some of the regular maintenance like spark plugs and oil changes is easy on this car. don't be scared to do some stuff on your own. since your dme is almost guaranteed to be unlocked, i was gonna suggest to drive it for awhile and then look into flashing a stage 1 tune like bootmod3 or mhd on it, but the difference between mppsk and stage 1 is maybe 20-30hp, so just enjoy the car. but there's lots of room for performance improvement if you head down that slippery slope of modding. |

I've owned (2) Miatas, one which was turbo'd, a Lexus LS430, R32 Skyline, a 2016 Mustang GT and now the '18 340i. This will be my daily driver (besides winter) so I am most likely going to keep it with the MPPSK tune as it's more than enough for me. |

I agree that mppsk is likely more than enough. plus from what i've seen/heard, that exhaust sounds great. Last edited by Red-i; 06-01-2023 at 03:00 PM.. |

Beautiful car! Plus, you got a real Bimmer, not like the rest of us with the auto tranny!

Beautiful car. I'm definitely envious of the MT. I'm out in the western burbs by Schaumburg. I did a similar thing when I got mine 6 years ago. Flew to Philly and drove it back. Core memory right there.
I have some suspension and wheel mods on mine. I also DIY most of the maintenance work. Let me know if you run into any questions once you've had more time to spend with your new baby. |

Congrats!! I’m in the city, too. I’ll just go ahead and post the link to the mechanics I use. www.bmchicago.com.
I just sold my 2018 340i M Sport to a young guy in the burbs and moved to a 2020 G20 M340i. I love the M340i powertrain (it’s a beast!), but the car is a little too techie for me and I’m missing the simplicity of the F30. Where in NH? I have an old army buddy in Nashua.
