Scratched Window Tint - Repair or Replace?
Every time I try to save money, it ends up costing me more in the long run.
In an effort to save a few bucks on shipping, I picked up a large tool chest at Home Depot and managed to scratch my after market window tint when I was shoving it in my back seat. It is relatively a small gash, but it is driving me nuts. Can this be patched or repaired, or do I have to have the whole window re-tinted? The tint is a few years old, so I'm afraid that if I just have one window re-tinted it will look different than the other three windows that have probably faded a bit. Does anyone know of any products that might hide the scratch? I was thinking of trying to cover it with a black marker, but I don't want to make it worse. I could probably live with it if it wasn't 100% perfect, but anything is better than how it looks now. Thanks for any suggestions! |

Black marker would just make it worse as it appears it would be much darker than the tint - then you would see a big black line on your window constantly
You might be able to patch, but IMO that would be 'mickey mouse' solution - I would just replace tint on that window...
