F31 320d M Sport in AW
I have just given the car it's first wash as the sun has not revealed itself all week. Here are some photos of the car with particular attention to the tailgate as someone had asked about that.
Exterior: The tailgate - fully open: Glass section open: The loading bay: Clever storage for the detachable load area cover Fully opened up: Showing the underfloor storage space: The rear roof mounted speaker and mounting point for the divider net: The interior: |

Looks so good!
I just ordered mine today, F31 also, but in Estoril blue, was going back and forth between blue and white for a long time AW is a winner, no doubt. But I had AW on my E92, time for a change |

Thanks for the info and great photos.
I'm not a big stationwagon fan, but the new F31 Touring looks great especially with the M package. Cheers Robin |

Thank you for taking he time to share your photos. They are excellent. Its really good to see what other drivers have chosen.
I still can't decide between the estoril blue and mineral grey. I hope someone can post the F31 in Estoril Blue Happy motoring! |

I appreciate you taking the time to post quality pictures of the tailgate and rear glass.
It really looks like a very functional wagon! In my E46 touring, I had an OEM rear mat (pic below). Does BMW offer one for the F31? |

There is an official rear boot liner for the F31/F30; there are a couple of different versions for SE, Modern and Sport (ones I've seen so far). They are all black but have different colour strip, for example Sport has a red strip, Modern is Sliver. They cost about £84 in the UK.
Like the OP, I've opted for the standard 18" mainly because I live in central London where the roads are terrible and with my E91 I've had to replace 5 tyres all due to potholes etc etc, none of my tyres have ever been replaced due to wear! I did opt for the Adaptive M Suspension but thats not going to save my tyres from potholes. |

Thanks for the comments. @pons: the wheels were not high on my agenda when I ordered the car and the main reason for sticking with the 18s was down to the cost of that one extra feature. I was already over budget before the auto box and panoramic roof options were added. Also, our roads in Edinburgh are broken up quite badly in places but the ride in the F31 means I haven't really noticed much. I am still thoroughly enjoying the car.
Now for some crazy modifications... I looked into the prices of the official carbon fibre effect wing mirror caps and was shocked that they wanted more than £200 per mirror. Has anyone tried a vinyl wrap on these? I was thinking of applying a wrap to the roof section to have the whole top in black to blend in with the dark roof section. Any comments/pictures would be appreciated. |
