I was usually on Sport but last night I was on Sport+. I have stock exhaust and the exhaust burps were nice. No burp on Sport.

It won't sound any different than Sport. There's no difference other than stability control being tempered/disabled.

Hmmm....I'll try it. I have the 6MT and MPE (but not MPPK).

Indiscernible to me.

I have stock.

I could hear the burble in the car with windows down on Sport+.
With Sport the burble is gone, or maybe not as loud.

I have the same experience. I've used Sport+ for cruising around town and especially with the windows down, it gives an extra rumble and burble with shifts, in spite of what has been published.

That said, I still don't use it for daily driving, particularly on the highway.

Well I have my car coded to where I can choose sport mode to be between chassis, drivetrain, or both. I have it set at chassis only so I guess I drive in sport all the time

But soon as it is warmed up, it's in sport+ as the burbles sound too good on the meisterschaft

Coding? My car has the option to set Sport as Chassis, Drivetrain, or Both.

My car has a 6MT. Every time I start the car, I immediately toggle the "Driving Mode" switch to "Sport" or "Sport+" (and the very next thing I do is turn off the distracting iDrive/navigation screen).

In anything other than Sport Mode, the car's throttle response is no better than a base Toyota Camry. In fact, I'd love to permanently delete the useless, Toyota-like “Eco Pro” and “Comfort” modes from my car (along with the dangerous Auto Start/Stop feature).

Come on man, where you been? BMW figured that out in the E90. Get with the times buddy.

I keep the car in Sport all the time, Sport+ if I feel like being even more speedy because it holds the revs a couple hundred higher.

I forgot to switch the car over to sport once upon starting and was wondering why the throttle was so laggy off the line, then realized I wasn't in sport mode much to my relief I actually drove to work and back today fully in comfort mode for the first time, just because I was curious what MPG I would get. Did 29 mpg instead of my normal 20-22 mpg.

Well, I've got a 6MT and no adaptive, so I drive in Sport all the time just for the steering.

I can't tell you how ridiculous it is that I can't use iDrive to set that to the default.

I drive in sport all the time, but I have the engine response deselected (chassis only). I have adaptive suspension and I like the suspension to be in the "sport" setting. I use sport+ when I want to accelerate faster and enjoy the turns, as it doesn't have the annoying stability control kicking in all the time.

Wow, I didn't know that. Just think of all those scientists, philosophers, and clerics laboring away over the centuries when the problem was readily solved by a team of smart guys in Munich. Henceforth I will be much more respectful when interacting with iDrive. iDrives are people too.

If you had to code it, then you do not have the adaptive suspension and has nothing to do with what MY you have. So after your coding, putting chassi-only in sport will only firm up the steering wheel. Which it did even before the coding but it would also put the engine/trans in Sport as well.

I have my Sport setting for Chassis-only. When I tried Drivetrain in Sport, I found that the throttle was way too twitchy, especially in city driving. It was incredibly hard to drive smoothly in stop and go traffic. Anybody else feel that way?

Not sure if this matters, but I have Dinan Stage 1 and MPE.

The whole point is to help you avoid an accident at speed. If you don't want electronic nannies, and want the thrill of actually driving, get yourself a Porsche 930.
Your cars must have better traction than mine, then...on normal driving, I feel the TCS limit me all the time. Just pulling out on a street while turning without trying to spin the tires, it shuts down power completely - my TCS pre-emptively interrupts before anything happens.

Similarly, in the 6MT (different in the 8AT, considering it doesn't use the last two gears), the dumbed down throttle response is appalling. Even in sport mode, the throttle response is piss poor, but comfort mode is almost difficult to drive. I still have my first car, a 2002 6MT maxima. That car has an electric throttle body, but the computer doesn't dumb it down. The throttle response is lightyears better than my 335i.

And to those who say "it should only be taken off on the track"....ummm, what did you do before these nannies existed? The f30 may not be the most competent handler, but a near 50/50 weight distribution and not a huge amount of power makes this car very easy to control. At the limit, or not.
