I'm jealous of your CarPlay option! The 2016 iPhone interface is an abomination- whoever said that was good enough for production should be fired.

I've disconnected/reconnected/updated etc more times than I care to count, and it still only works correctly on a rare occasion.

Seriously disappointing- my wife's Hyundai cost half as much and works 10 times as well.

You can still use bmw map/navigation.

They are basically 2 different interface. You use CarPlay, and within it you can only use apple maps, but you can hit the home button, then map button to use BMW maps. It's what I do. Apple maps sucks

Just ordered my MG 340 Chicagoland. Did you get this at Laurel? The sales guys were talking about how nice this combo looked when it was delivered.
