Just ordered my 2017 440i

Hi Everyone,

Great to say I'm moving from the babyBMW forum to bimmerpost as I've just ordered myself a 2017 440i! (I never saw myself moving to an Auto, but it's so damn good!)

Sport Automatic Transmission
M Sport Plus
442M Alloy Wheels
Adaptive Suspension
Sunroof
Reversing Camera
Extended Storage
Enhanced Bluetooth with Wireless Charging
Leather Dashboard
Brushed Aluminium with pearl chrome trim
Black dakota leather
Sliding armrest

Just signed everything off this afternoon and possibility of delivery just after Christmas. I was assuming it was a 12 week waiting time, what are your expectations? If an early delivery happens, I'm half tempted to wait until Feb / March so it misses the worst of the UK winter.

Will be very sad to see my 120d go on the back of a lorry especially as its in pristine condition

. However, its safe to say I cannot wait for the new one. This is where time starts to drag......

How are you all finding your new 4er's?

I'll let you know tomorrow. supposed to pick mine up around 11:00 am. Waiting 10 weeks was torture. Looks like I might get lucky with the weather though. four days of mid 60's and sunny. Good for new york this time of year.

I have a 440i xdrive 6MT that just got released from the VPC, so I may be able to take delivery this weekend. I am in California, which is a longer trip (through the Panama Canal) and it will be just over 8 weeks since I submitted the order. UK is a lot closer, unless it comes from SA.

After driving MY13 335i xDrive Sedan for 3.5 years, I ordered MY17 440i Gran Coupe. Delivery took place on September 12. Very impressed with the new vehicle, especially B58 engine.

Been driving mine for a couple of days now. WAY faster (quicker) than I expected. Only 20 hp more than my 2002 sl 500 and I,m guessing about the same weight, but I dont remember the sl being anything like this.

Just going to take a while for my old brain to learn all the stuff the car can do. I need a 10 year old to explain the electronics...

The latest version of iDrive hardware and software on MY17 440i GC is much easier to use.
For example, say 'Drive to ... ", add any destination (even a restaurant name + address), and navigation system will find it and automatically accept the destination.

Your local BMW dealer can order a complete guide to navigation and entertainment system. It's a separate manual now. About $30.

How are you all finding your new 4er's?

I ordered my 440i GC on 3rd Sept and it's currently at the dock in Southampton. It's been there for four days. I've been booked in for collection this Wednesday, 7th Dec and that includes time they need to install the MPPSK. If i collect then, I think it's taken 13.5 weeks in all.

I'm coming from a Cayman S so have very mixed emotions about losing a car I love dearly to something more practical (having two nippers) and hopefully as entertaining!

Just popped into my dealer to have a chat about diffusers etc and they've confirmed that the car will be with me in the first week of Feb! YAY!

Good news! What's the "M-sport PLUS" option?

Took delivery of my F36 a week ago, between order and delivery there was 14 weeks of wait. But also because the dealer and I wanted to register the car in 2017 :-)

The M-Sport Plus gives you larger and better brakes, Harmon kardon speaker system and tinted glass. (Maybe a few other things I'm unaware of)
