2017 440xi GC Order Placed

Well I kept going back and forth about waiting on 18 or trying to get an order in for 17. Dealer said as long as they had allocation car could be built. I got a week 7 build and will be in last group of 17's. 62445 msrp negotiated to 57990 7.25% off MSRP. Really surprised they would move that much but had two dealers at same price within 8 hours of sending build out in Chicagoland. Here it is:

Black Sapphire Metallic
Coral Red Dakota w/blk highlight
Aluminum Hex w/blk high gloss
Cold Weather
Driver Assist
Navigation
M-Sport
19" 442 Orbit Grey w/PSS
Track Handling w/ M Sport Brakes VSS Adaptive M Suspension

Can't wait to be done with this GT! Kids are in front facing booster seats so no need for extra rear room. Hope I don't regret waiting on 18 but I don't think I will.

Got message from CA today and car was pushed ahead from week seven build to completion on Feb 3rd. I was expecting mid April delivery now it will be early March. Must want to push these last 17's out of factory.

It's probably slots opening up with all the forum members cancelling 2017's to get a 2018.

I have a 2017 440i xDrive Conv. that is a week 7 build as well. It was a week 7 allocation when I ordered in December, didn't change and should be done Thursday the 16th. I'm doing ED as part of a business trip early March so my choice was to take a pretty reasonable deal on a 2017, just over ED invoice and all I had to do was fly Paris to Munich for $50....or no ED, higher cost, higher cost (no ED discount, etc.) and an unknown wait on the 2018.

I asked my wife if she wanted to do ED since her brother is stationed in Italy for the Army. I told her we could pick up car drive to Italy spend 2 weeks with him and his family in their house off base. She said she had no interest at all to do anything with the BMW. So she went to Italy in October by herself and spent 10 days with her brother and his family in Vicenza. She went to Austria, Germany, Italy and one other country. If I ever do ED I guess it will be by myself.
