I've looked through the U.S. pricing and ordering guide and it looks like the M Sport brakes are only available if you get the Track Package.

Curious if anyone has been able to configure / place an order with these as a separate option? I know it's available in other countries.

If not, what are recommended options for replacing them with something better looking and/or more functional? Also, any idea on cost? I've seen suggestions of painting, but also read that it'll void any warranty.

Thanks in advance!

If its like most BMW accessory upgrades, anything you do after market will likely be more than if you just got it from the factory, especially if you were looking to have someone else do the labor to install, etc.

Well, that's the thing... I don't see an option to order them separately as an option to be installed at the factory.

Also not looking to drop 2K+ on M Performance brakes...

From what I hear, the brakes are really only for using on a track. For daily driving they will perform just the same as regular brakes.

If it's just for the look, and then you can have the calipers painted. A guy over here in NY will do them for $200. That doesn't get you the M logo but there is probably enough of them all over the car.

Never again, they look good but the constant squeak after 15k miles is unacceptable. Dealer just says it's normal for those brakes.

I had no squeaks with M Sport brakes until about 25K. I brought the car in and they disassembled and cleaned the brakes, which caused the squeaking to disappear before returning a couple weeks later. It's worse now than ever with the cold temps.

I have not had any squeaking on my m sport brakes but I have a 2106 435. I have 16.5k miles so far. Wonder if its because I am in southern california? /shrug.

We had tons of rainstorms so I have been through plenty of water, but no snow. My car is garaged at home, but parks outside at work.

Not a single squeak, even in the morning in december / january when it was low to mid 30s when I left to go to work.
