Just curious....
I understand 320i and 328i is the same engine....at least almost same.

What happend If I buy tuningkit for 328i and use this in a 320i?

For example with product from BMS.

I expect it either wouldn't work, or you'd do something bad to your engine. It's a myth that the 328i and 320i have almost the same engine. They are different. They have different compression ratios so they'll have to have different fuelling and charge parameters.

Following responses indicate I am wrong. I assumed that the BMS module ran a different level of modification for each engine and you had to get a separate 320i module. Yes, I'm admitting I was wrong on the internet. Buy gold and prep the fall out shelter.

Using the above product in your 320i will give the engine a very nice boost on power, torque and throttle response. The Stage 1 (and JB4 - Stage 2) are designed for the N20/N26 engine, including the 320i.

I have Stage 1 in my 328i and it's terrific.
