Best of luck with that (non sarcastic!)

My ship (Swift Ace) docked Wedn afternoon (Jan 2nd), reached dealership today (Jan 8), will be ready for pickup tomorrow (Jan 9th). So total exactly 5-6 days from ship docking to dealer having it, and exactly 7 days to ready for pickup. Hopefully your turnaroud is faster!!

Damn. Sounds about right, I guess. My CA said 3 days at the port, a day with them and I'm assuming a day for transit to dealer. But obviously there's no guarantee it leaves in 3 days (if it even gets through VPC processes that quickly) instead of sitting another day or two for a truck.

I'm expecting no sooner than next week and honestly, if it's not this weekend, it has to wait till next Friday anyway unless I want to pick it up at night, which I'd rather not. We'll see if I can be that patient if I get a call that it's at the dealership Monday or Tuesday though. May just have to tell my CA to get his arse in at 6 am to give me my car before work!

The suspense is terrible.

My CA said average is about a week from dock to delivery. Sometimes less, sometimes more. But the weekend sounds overly optimistic. I have a busy week next week but I too would rather pick the car up during the day. I am sure if it is ready I will rearrange my schedule instead of waiting even longer.

Yeah, I have zero optimism it would be this weekend. Was just hoping ever so slightly for a miracle, see it docked early, but even had it come Monday, Saturday wouldn't be all that guaranteed. So next week it is, hopefully no worse than that.

Anyone know if the ETA on the marine site is local time or German? I'm assuming local, but something along the way made me think it may be German, I just don't recall what that was...

I think it supposed to arrive 11PM Eastern which is 4AM Coordinated Universal Time which I think is what the site is on. Still not on the radar though!

The WW site says the 11th. Not sure if it always said that. Marine traffic has always said the 10th which made sense with the 9th my CA told me when you factored in the time zone difference. Hopefully it will pull in tonight.

WW always said the 11th.. So maybe that was more realistic all along. My CA did warn that bad weather could add time, days possibly. He originally said the 9th as well, but last week said the 10th.

Either way, as long as I can get it next week, I'll be content.

It is killing me. Hoping to get the car by Wednesday. I have to drive about 200 miles on Thursday and would like to do it in the F30.

Hope your ship doesn't suffer the same 3 day delay mine did. Was supposed to dock Dec 30, didn't dock till Jan 2nd.

Any idea what caused it? just delayed getting over here due to weather or something?

Yeee yaaaa Booooi!

I don't know when the car will be at my dealer, but I'm hoping less than a week. I'd like to pick it up a week from today. Asked them to program the ASS, BMW assist and install any software updates.

Are you guys doing anything different?

Great surprise to look at the website today and the boat was not on the screen next to those little islands like it has been forever! I knew right away it was here!

I might give ASS a chance. I didn't notice it when I test drove the car. Is everyone getting it coded?

No changes at the port or dealer for me. Don't want anyone screwing the car up and figure I'll wait on ASS, for now. Again, don't know if I trust dealer to code and have issues others have had.

What are they programming for you for BMW assist? Should be ready and you just call to activate it.

Chrisny you should come to the Feb 2nd code meet at Oneighty. Check the NY/NJ/CT forums for details.

For BMW assist you have to call an set up a username and password. Some prefer to have this done at dealer, personally I'm gonna call this weekend an get it set up (avoid any stupid dealer screwups with password and what not)

I have been waiting for the ship to dock for so long I never considered that once it did I would basically be in the dark until my CA calls and tells me the car is ready. This is no fun.
