Hi all,

Did anybody already install the new BMW Integrated Navigation solution for the HU_ENTRY (radio professional)?

(sorry, only german)

The installation seems to be quite easy, but the integrated navigation also has to be coded.
Does anybody know what exactly has to be coded? FA or even single parameters?

Greetings
Radair

Does anybody know how BMW is coding retrofit systems? I assume that it will work the same way for this retrofit navi.
Maybe an other possibility is adding a FA code, but what is the FA code for this integrated Navigation? Does anybody know?

Hi all,

this retrofit solution needs to be HO-Word coded. HO-Word = NAVI

Thanks to shawnsheridan for you support.

I will give a feedback as soon as I have installed the kit.

I did it.

Installation was easy and the result is great.
Navigation is very accurate.

I only had issues with coding the HO-Word "Navi" which had no effect at all. So I changed the Mute and ZBE_Low parameters on the HU_ENTRY and it worked also with audio.
Below some pics.

Greetings

The speed Limit Info is very helpful; this feature I am missing on the original BMW navigation system.

I saw this on the Shop BMW website and was very interested. I live in Charlotte, NC so I called my local BMW dealership to discuss having them install it on my 2015 320i. They weren't aware of the navigation retrofit and after another call to BMW of North America, I was told that this is only available in Europe right now. So for all my North American friends the Shop BMW website is incorrect even though it says the maps are for North America. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Hi radair, I hope you can help me with a quick question I have with this kit.

I had this installed in my X3 yesterday by my local BMW dealer and it's a really nice addition to the car. However, I find that the navigation voice instructions are simply too quiet - I can hear it if the radio is off, but if your listening to the radio as anything more than background noise, instructions are all but inaudible. I've fiddled with everything but I can't make a meaningful difference. Obviously I'm going to take it back to the dealer, but just wondering if you have any ideas just in case they try to fob me off.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers,

Kiernan.

Are you sure? Have a look into the ETK: http://www.etk.cc/bmw/EN/search/sele...83/65902410420

There you can find a NAmerica version. Partnumber 65902410422

I am sure. I called BMW of North America directly and that is what they told me...that it is only available in Europe right now and that their website is incorrect. I did also mention that they have the North America version listed on the website but that is what I was told. Maybe if someone else calls they will get a different answer.

I know this is a navigation only retrofit, but have you tried coding the Sports display menu? It doesn't work on HU_ENTRY and now that you have this I was wondering if the whole "software" of the HU changed.

Does the box have to be installed inside the glove box or would you be able to mount it behind the glove box somewhere? I've done the bimmer-tech screen mirroring device, and have all of that stuff mounted in the dash, but it still requires the auxiliary cable to use sound, so it sounds cheap compared to an OEM integrated module.

No, its different. I would say its better because of the 3D graphics, lane views and the speed limits.

You can mount it anywhere within the cable range. I also had that idea, but did not find a suitable place to mount. So I decided to do it according the installation manual.
