I don't know for sure but I will ask my CA tomorrow and post for you. I am putting $20,000 down and financing the rest on a purchase. My CA knows this so I'm thinking it doesn't matter but will let you know for sure tomorrow.

It's on the website. Buy or lease. There's already a thread about it...

Where does it say that it's available for purchase also? At http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...end_event.aspx I only see lease or finance as an option for the holiday credit...

It seems you have to lease or finance through BMW financial so buying car outright does not qualify. You colud always see what T&C are, maybe you can finance for credit and pay car off a couple months later.

Sorry, I should have said "finance" or lease. It's a BMWFS incentive.

I was gonna put $20k or so down too, but then decided to go with less. Money is so cheap, why not finance more ?

With interest rates so low, I also recommend putting less down
Why use your own money when you can use the bank's money, remember if anything happens in your life when you need to have money on hand (medical, school, personal) you want to be able to have access to it. Don't put money down on something that depreciates in value. Use it as a downpayment for a house or pay down something (credit card/debt) with higher interest rates

I agree about the cheap money and I'm even a long time financial advisor. My wife wants a payment around $500 a month so I don't care if it makes her happy. I can make way more than 2.49% on our money but if she's happy, I'm happy. Happy wife, happy life.
