Garage List 2012 BMW 328i [10.00]

I stopped taking their car ratings seriously years ago. They seem very biased towards Asian cars, and against BMW and even more so against American manufacturers.

The latest issue of car n driver says the new 328i has lost the traditional BMW good steering feel when compare to E90. The steering feel is rated the lowest among 5 other cars they tested. I really would like to test drive one to see if it is true.

the steering has a weird feeling to me. only complaint is when you are driving straight for a little and want to turn the wheel it sticks for a second then becomes easy again. i heard it was the electronic steering kicking in.

To be honest, I never considered a BMW until I saw the impressive fuel economy the new 328i gets while still being very fast and sporty.
But the reviewer should have gotten the sport line trim, the variable steering and M sport suspension. |

Oh People PLEASE. Every generation of 3-series has ALWAYS been praised for it's Agility, Communicative steering, excellent handling, and fluid responses. No matter if it was Car&Driver, Insideline, Consumer Reports, etc etc etc. Just live with the fact that the new F30 is no longer the bench mark as a sport sedan, as it USED to be. Stop defending the F30 as if it still was what a 3-series used to be praised for.

I opted not to get the electric steering...and I love my car. Had a run in with debris on 95 this week going about 50 and the car responded just as good as my e92.

If you ask CR, I'm sure it's the Lexus GS ( Toyota Camry) or the Acura TL (Honda Accord). But then again, I don't trust CR to tell me anything valuable about a new car...their only value (if only perceived) is to report on long-term reliability IMO.

Consumer Reports top Sports Sedan is the G37. It also rates the BMW 1-Series as the highest rated Sporty Car.
You can take this for what it is worth |

My friend has an IS250. He is so over it. Not at all inspiring. He doesn't drive it much - so he tells me.
