For the first time ever, I think the X6 M is the better looking car

I saw these at Habberstad in NY today, they look ok... I walked right passed both of them and didnt even notice them at first, never done that to an M car before... and I still dont understand the point of turbo charging them.

They dont even get good mileage for all the extra trouble. The EPA is 12 and 17, the M5's NA 10 cylinder does that for the most part. Why not just put a regular naturally aspirated 8 or 10 cylinder in there, keep the high redline, and the legitimacy of the brand image...?

Seems like purely green-ish marketing to me...

You're right about the mileage, but remember that the M5 is 1000 lbs lighter

how does a 8L v12 with 8000rpm redline in the x6m with a beef up smg tranny sound? yummmy that is gonna be ton of torque

if bmw made a truck like this, I wouldn't care about gas mileage at all. i would buy it to two some stuff and drive the family around in style. lol

I would think that BMW will have a better looking "M" wheels on the X5. They look too mundane.
But non-the-less, both cars look like a monster.

I agree. the rims on both the x5m and x6m look worse than the upgraded rims on the standard x6. what the hell.

True, but now the point I was really getting to was theyre going to turbocharge all of the M cars and for what?

I'm sure they will be awesome cars but they aren't going to be "the same"

Its a 5300 lb truck. The S82 can't come near the amount of torque this thing makes...

I just saw the X5M in person. Wow, I love it. Considering a Cayenne Turbo S has about the same hp, and is $50k more, the X5M is a hell of a deal.
