Help with 19" wheel set up

Hey folks, noob to this forum and with my f30 still. Looking for some solid advice/help for my upcoming wheel and tire choices.

I'm looking to run a 19" squared set up. I've decided to go cheaper this round and be able to rotate tires to save some money.

My f30 328i xdrive is dropped on H&R sport springs currently. Without rubbing but having a flush fitment, what set up am I safe to run with?
Would 19x9.5 wheels work? What offset/spacers for front and rear? 245/40's squared would be fine?

Thanks in advance.

245/40-19 will look stretched on 9.5" wheels, it has 8.5" wheels as recommendation (but 8-9.5" are allowed).

A square setup with 8.5x19" and 245/40-19 will be a great choice, if you like a bit tire stretch you might choose 9x19".

Offset is most critical for the front wheel, for 8.5" wide wheels ET32-35 will be a good fiment.

With the right offset and tires, you can likely run a 255/35-19 up front without any issues. It might be a little bit safer to stick with a 245/40-19 though.
That being said, you're not going to fit a 9.5x19 up front, even with stretched tires. You will likely get some impact when turning, especially considering your drop.

Stretching tires, like with running a 245 on a 9.5" wheel, leaved your tires susceptible to more damage, and it reduces your handling. It also makes you look like the Euro stance crowd that loves to show how low their cars are and how much they can stretch a tire, as if it's a contest to see who can have the worst ride quality and handling possible.

I would suggest a 19x8.5 ET35 all around with a 5mm spacer in the rear and running a 245/35 tire. If you have any questions about wheel and tire fitment or possible wheel choices do not hesitate to ask me

I don't under stand all the wide tires and wheels unless looks is the only desire because the rotation mass will greatly reduce braking and acceleration performance not to mention mpg.

Why not a set of forged aluminum light wheels say 8.5 front and 9 rears .

Really?

Looks are important. A wider wheel doesn't necessarily equate to more or that much more weight. There is a wide range of wheels to chose from. The quality of the tire is clearly the most important factor. And, many things factor into whether you'll get more traction.

That said, you appear to be a bit of an absolutist. "Great reduce braking and acceleration performance . . . "?

Come on.

Try to envision dragging a wide piece of rubber on a surface, then a narrower one. That should help you out. The only thing you said that was sort of true was the reduced MPG. And, that decrease is a marginal decrease.

Finally, I bought heavier wider wheels with Michelin PSS and ditched the Conti RF's. The difference in just night and day in acceleration, braking and cornering. Talk about dialing out the understeer.
