For those who don't understand German, the video at least provides a comparison look at the exterior/interior styling between the 3 cars.

that 328 interior is COOL! we don't get that here.

looks like the C250 in Germany is pretty much carry over mechanical wise. but the car looks great, so mini S class. and the interior is high class

Yup, due time for an Audi style overhaul. A4 is looking real old.

Mercedes ass looks dumpy and droopy, like the awfully-proportioned CLA. Looks better on its larger car, the S Class, a really nice-looking big car, nicer than BMW's 7.

Mercedes nav screen now looks like an add-on Garmin. This would be fine in a 2002 Kia Rio but not in a 2014 premium luxury car.

I guess that's the reason the license plate reads "SUCK" in the video. Missing though is "IT TREBEK."

Love the rest of the Mercedes dash, though. Slick and modern.

The C class. It had an air suspension that was well liked.

Garage List
2009 335i  [8.90]
Merc:
- interior looks good, very luxurious
- seats are comfortable but do not have as much lateral support as the competitors
- not much space in the rear seats
- engine is ok power wise
- downshifts of the transmission are sometimes a bit harsh
- suspension (air suspension) very comfortable
- steering easy but not much feedback

Audi:
- interior looks still good
- front seats are sportier, more lateral support than in the Merc
- engine revs nicely
- DCT does not always work as smoothly and quickly as the competitors
- understeers a lot
- steering feels disconnected
- suspension not very comfortable

BMW:
- interior is better than initially
- comfortable front seats with good lateral support
- rear seats more comfortable than the competitors
- "comfort" setting of the adaptable suspension not ideal, feels underdamped
- very good in the "sport" setting of the suspension
- excellent steering with good feedback
- automatic transmission works very well with the engine

Summary:

- C class is an excellent car, radiates luxury and quality
- however, the competitor from Munich is just too good

I can't watch the video at the moment due to a proxy but from what i read in the comparison on the autobild-homepage the 328i won it:

http://www.autobild.de/bilder/merced...32.html#bild38

"Der BMW 328i hat mehr Kraft, er weckt die Lebensgeister, und er leistet sich auch im täglichen Gebrauch keine Schwächen. Meisterhaft."
~
"The BMW 328i has more power, awakens your spirits, and he doesn't have any weaknesses when it comes to daily driving. Masterful."

1st 328i 4.5/5
2nd C250 4/5
3rd A4 3.5/5

Tried watching it but makes me mad, how cool that BASE M-Sport alcantara cloth interior is and we can't get that in the USA!

Somehow, BMW NA thinks Vinyl is better....more luxurious than that!

That's also the M-Sport interior in the M235i in Europe!

Did you listen do another test?

First: You can read the full test (german) here.

Let me summarize their conclusion:
Quote:
"Wie sie neuerdings aussieht, die C-Klasse, das ist natürlich Geschmacksache. Aber dass sie auch da vorprescht, wo wir es von einem Mercedes erwarten, das kann nicht falsch sein: Sie ist komfortabler geworden, und sie strahlt gehobene Qualität aus. Ihr Pech, dass die Konkurrenz aus München zurzeit einfach zu gut ist."
which means:
Quote:
"It's a question of taste about how the new C-Class looks. But that it's presses ahead where we expect if from Mercedes can't be wrong: It bacame more comfortable and shows a superior quality. Bad Luck, that the competition from munich is right now just too good."
Yes, in the video they point out, that the air suspension is perfect comfortable, but who likes it a bit more sporty get's the much better car with BMW which is in comfort mode not as perfect as the mercedes, but far from being bad, while in Sport mode just perfect.
In addition they also pointed out, that the C-Class was the smallest for rear passengers (BMW best) and that the sport seats of BMW where the best.

I just checked out a 435i with the M-Sport package and this interior. It simply is perfect!

LOVE the interior on the 3er....

I would have had that in a heartbeat for my M235...but alas, BMW NA is dumb and we can't get it...

Good start for the C-class. C63 will be good competition for the M3 and the C400 will be interesting to compare with 335

Are there any reviews of the C400? The twin turbo V6 looks enticing. Every review I have seen of the new C is either a diesel or 4-cylinder petrol.

If we could have Mercedes provide the exterior and interior. Then BMW would provide the engine and M DCT, steering and EDC. And finallylet Audi provide the 4 wheel traction we would have the best of all worlds.

But it ain't going to happen.

Urgh... The LED DRLs on the Merc look like an afterthought, something the designer let their 4 year old draw on the finished design. The grill and headlights don't work that well together either in my view.

At least if you buy it you cannot see this from the driving seat

One place where BMW can NEVER lose to Mercedes is exterior styling.

I have never seen any MB that looked even remotely appealing.
