Stock 19" wheels on F36...spacer advice

I am debating putting an 18mm or 20mm spacer on my rear wheel. I have an F36 riding on the stock 19" wheels. My car is also lowered on coils. There is about 1/2" gap between tire and fender. Based on my measurements, the 20mm spacer would put the wheel flush with the fender. I am worried that perhaps this will rub or poke. I can't stand having any sort of poke.

The OEM wheel specs are 8.5" ET 47 with 255/35 tires. My tires are Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 which has a pretty square sidewall profile.

So I am considering spacers that would make the offset
8.5" ET 27 or ET 29.

Thank you in advance.

I know the GC has some more room in the rear compared to the sedan but this is what mine looked like with stock wheels and a 12mm in the rear. I'm not sure how the wagon compares to the GC though, but I think 20mm might be end up being out more than flush.

Thank you Martin. Do those wheels have the same specs as mine? In the last pic it looks there is more room to go out. Also, I have not yet aligned my car so perhaps I have a lot of camber in the rear right now. I am going to wait until I do alignment before deciding on the spacer.

Its weird I read that some Gran Coupe users have an equivalent 25-27 mm spacer on stock wheels. For example I read someone uses a 10" wide wheel with ET 40!

Yes, wheels have the same specs as yours. I'd wait till you settle, readjust height and get aligned, and then you can sort out spacers.

I'm not using my 10/12mm, so if you want to borrow them let me know and I can ship out the 12mm with bolts for you to check before committing.

Thank you for the kind offer Martin. I currently have 12mm spacers on the rears now. Using a level orientated vertically placed against the fender, it looks like I could go out another 9mm for a perfectly flush look. Of course, as you said, I will wait until I get it aligned next week. I've driven the car about 100miles since install and will be driving another 100 tomorrow which I think is enough time for the springs to settle. I will adjust the height then go get it aligned and re-measure what spacer I could use.
