M Performance Package II
I am considering a 2016 435 x-drive M Sport that my dealer claims has the M Performance Package I and II. It clearly has package I, but I can't find anything that would identify package II on the car other than the dealer's option list. There are no labels beneath the hood or engine cover identifying the power pac. The tail pipes don't have the M insignia either. Is this possible? Anyone else in Canada have this option with no identifying features for it?

That's what I thought. I'm sure this car doesn't have it, but they're charging me for it. I will post pics tomorrow, but it just looks like the regular 435 engine bay and exhaust pipes.

You can also get the VIN number and go to another dealership to ask for details or even better ask BMW canada to see if they can get you the options list if you don't trust that dealership.

Here are the results of the VIN lookup and pics. Not sure I can really tell from the VIN lookup, but from the pics, it doesn't look like it has it from what I can tell. This may be a very interesting conversation with my dealer as I am being charged for it. Is it possible it still has it without having all the identifying marks to indicate it does?

From the pics, it's clear that it doesnt have the MP2 unless they will install it before you pic up the car. Enjoy your conversation!

Can you take a pic of your display and engine in the event I need to use it. They may use the US vs Canadian argument, so it would be nice to have pics from a Canadian car. ......and if you can, of your exhaust as well (underneath).

Here are the pictures. The one you have does not have M-Performance Package II.
The exhaust tail pipes should have ///M on it. The Engine gets fancy M-performance stickers instead of Twin Turbo and finally your sports display should go up to 400 hp. See pictures attached. Also see my PM re. lease takeover lol |

FWIW...I have a 2014 335 with M 1 and M 2 and I also have the "badge" on the intake and the etched logos on both tail pipes (although I have the older style non-rounded pipes)...sport displays are also updated. I agree with poster ^, this car does not appear to have M 2 option.
You have done the right thing by coming here to ask opinions and do your research. You should be able to go back to the dealer with a decent argument for a $ reduction...or to get a car that actually has the features you want. I wouldn't jump to the assumption that the dealer is purposely trying to "scam" you; he/she might just be reading what is on the options list in the company database for this particular vehicle. It used to surprise me how many of these "salesmen" know very little about the product they sell, but not so much anymore as I see it all too often. Last time I took my car in for service the service guy said "that's a nice M3". Service should know what they are working on, no? I didn't even bother correcting him... |

I agree, good thing you checked here. Many sales rep aren't educated on the fine details.
When I was shopping I had a rep try and sell me a Sport Line model claiming it was the M-Sport line... |

You cannot see MPP2 on bmwvin and other similar websites, as, I guess, this package is never coming from the factory.
