New Car Details and Protection

What are the first things you do once you pick up your new car from the dealer? My F30 is of the way, and I might be trading in my wife's 2007 X5 for a new X3/X5 shortly.

First thing for me is very explicit instructions to the dealer to not wash the car in any way. I will take it to a professional detailer to have it cleaned and paint protection added. What product do you use for this?

After that, I plan to have it tinted and a clear bra installed. How long should I wait after having the paint protectant installed to put on the clear bra? I don't want to ruin one with the other.

Is there anything else you will do or recommend having done immediately after picking up the car?

I'll risk having the dealer wash the car because I don't want to drive it away brand new and dirty. Then to a pro within the first week for a first-class cleaning, and I also want them to apply OptiCoat. Unless someone knows a better product.

Yeah if you have got the money! hahaha
Hopefully its worth it.

Or just do some good detailing job like waxing yourself. There is plenty of wax on a new car from what I have seen. You may have to strip it off first to do your own detailing or taking it to a pro
