That's so enraging. I hear a lot of this seems to happen in Florida and California, something in the water? At least down here in the suburbs these things don't happen (not much happens). So how did you end up fixing this? How much did it cost you? Did insurance pay?

+1
one of my coworkers she never takes out her car during lunch, but 2-3 others guys do, so I give them ride plus this lady (by default).
My best day was when it was raining and I parked at the far end(as usual) and she wanted a drop off or expected me to park near the entrance. But guess what, she had to walk in the rain
I told her, get your own car or shut up.

Happens in a most major cities. My last car (10 year old Ford) got keyed down the entire side on two separate occasions in the city. People in cities are just plain rude, especially ghetto teens who think keying a car gives them "street cred" with their friends.

One more reason I don't live in the city. I know some people dream of living in NYC but it would be torture to me. Just too much of a struggle for not much in benefits IMO.

Some idiot B*tch rear ended me but the only damage were the impression of two screws that came from her front license plate. The B*tch had the nerve to tell her insurance that someone had rear ended her which is why she hit me. This caused all kinds of delays but in the end, I took the money and replaced my rear bumper with an M Sport bumper.
Other than this, no other sratches (so far).

I always park away from everyone, but the one time I decide to take that close spot at the liquor store I come out to find a 2 inch scratch into my driver side door.

Quoted 1800$ to fix...

Since I own the car I will live with it for now.

If its really a 2" scratch then this is a very expensive quote. Even if they have to spray base, they'll only spray it around the affected area then clear the door and blend clear into adjacent panels. A little buffing and maybe wet sanding, polishing then done.

Get another estimate from a reputable shop.

I noticed some small indentations in the rear bumper a few days after delivery. Since they were hard to see and I picked the car up at night, not sure if they occurred during shipping. But a few weeks after that some idiot behind me while we were both stopped hit me saying his foot slipped off the brake. So got a whole new bumper cover and it now looks pristine.

Dealer gouged driver's door sill replacing the rusted seats. Got that filled in with paint chip guy. And the scuffs on the interior plastic will be repaired by a guy who heats up the plastic and puts back the texture.

I park far away whenever possible. Google maps is your friend for scouting an unknown area for safe places to land. Satellite and street view are awesome.

Oh and Valet? That's a word NOT in my vocabulary.

Actually there're some paint chips in my front bumper when i took delivery. I pointed them to the salesman, and I told him that's not acceptable. He promised they will fix it and scheduled a service (gonna have A$$ coded as well)

Yea now I try to park far away from others, but I don't wanna be like a douche at the same time :/

google maps is my best friend.. that said regardless of how far you park away there will sometimes be that idiot or jack@ss that decides to park right beside you even though the rest of the lot is empty just to get a rise out of you...

i usually park at the furthest corner spot at my work and there will occasionally be an ass that will park right beside me for no good reason. just last week i found several scratches on my car and i dont even know how that happened, the only thing i could deduce was that some idiot was near my car, i guess i learned my lesson and i'll be investing in a blackvue dash cam now

This place did my repairs after I killed a deer with my e90. Maybe I should look into another place since I will be paying out of pocket for the repair.

Thanks for the heads up.

No damage so far but I park the furthest away at the gym, work, and have a garage. I worry but in the end I'm not going to keep it forever.

My 135 was spotless and the guy who bought it didn't care. He barely cleans it. Didn't do me any good to worry so much about it.

Enjoy it my friend.

After my last 240 mls drive with speed above average on the Autobahn I noticed more dents on the front bumper. The width of parking spaces in public places in Germany is horrible. It fits a Volkswagen Bug but not a nowadays car. I always try to park my car far away from idiots who beat their doors in the side of my car.
