BMW LA wheel, Double Spoke 397 max tire size

The 225/45/18 looks skinny on the car.
I believe someone here changed to 245/40/18 all around.
Is that gonna affect the car ride?

245/40-18 will fit fine on 8x18" OEM style 397.

Take a look in this thread: f30.bimmerpost.com

Wider tires means more grip, I think you will be happy with the upgrade.

If you plan to replace your current 225/45-18 run-flats with 245/40-18 non run-flat you can also look forward to improved comfort.

225/45 and 245/40 has almost identical sidewall height and regular tires are more comfortable than run-flats.

Eagle F1 All Season 245/40-18 Install Success

I upgraded to a set of 245/40ZR-18 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season with no problem on my 328i Sport Line with the 18X8 wheels. What a positive change in the ride and handling and noise.

Link to Images of the tires on the car - https://youtu.be/LDRaa5fhyxg

Went with All-Season rating because she is my daily driver. Most tire owner reviews I read show these tires wear like summer tires which means they may grip to me. Traction and braking seems very good so far with 200 miles on them in cold weather for the last few mornings.
