I agree that it is a personal choice and I don't think it cheapens the look at all. That being said, I have trouble seeing when I'm driving a car with halogens, because my eyes are so used to xenons. I'm only 20 with 20/20 vision, so it's not because my eyes are bad; it's because the color of light is truly is more pervasive on dark roads.

Anyone who wants Xenons to be availlable as a stand alone option on F30 328i, contact BMW at CustomerRelations@bmwusa.com and let them hear it.

wait, what? Last time I heard you can order it as a stand alone option. It is $900 more. You cannot build it on their site, but I know for sure you can get it. I am helping someone get her car with xenon without premium. You will regret it later if you do not order the xenon.

And just how exactly are you doing that? Because that's contrary to everything that's been published or released.

Jus re-read your post Feanor and a bit of what you said just struck me in the face. Was giggling trying to imagine how they get their head stuck in the ceiling and which wrong lever gets them there!

lol well one of the side levers controls the seat height which releases a spring which makes the seat push against your backside, and this seems to be the one passengers pick by accident. One girl was trying to get into the back of my E82 Coupe and lifted the seat height lever instead of the rear access lever resulting in the seat shooting up to its highest position since noone was in the seat. This meant that my 185cm tall mate (her boyfriend) had to squeeze into the seat so he could push it down again, resulting in his head initially being sideways against the car ceiling .

Also my girlfriend is very petite, and when we first got the car she accidentally pulled this lever and the seat lifted her upwards as she wasn't heavy enough to counter the strength of the spring. She then couldn't get it to go back down again without a bit of a struggle as her feet were barely long enough to push against the footwell.

Just was in BMW yesterday and was talking with a lady that had xenons added as a stand alone without the Premium package. I looked at her order sheet myself.

Are you sure it wasn't a 335, because on a 328 that's, well, just not possible...

You're sure you can get xenons without premium? Because this is the very first indication I've heard/read that says that. Everyone has been under the impression that you have to get premium on the 328i to get xenons. There are many threads on multiple forums complaining about it.

That's hard to believe. What was the special code?

eBay - $200 for a solid kit with ballasts and voltage converter... they are essentially available for all cars and with the proper bulbs look identical to stock. I am sure a kit like this will be available within months for this car.

Ahhhh!

Yours is the coupe...the contortion now makes perfect sense.

I'm not sure to be honest, I asked if I could add xenon on mine without the premium and the GM told me quote, "Not for your setup, unfortunately." So I'm not sure what kind of hoops people are jumping through.

I am not going to be a happy camper if this is true that Prepium isn't required for xenons...

Because you ordered a 328i. The only hoop people are jumping through to get xenon without premium is buying a 335i.
