Please Help Ignorant BMW Owner: Will These Rims Fit?
I have a 2013 328i Xdrive. Looking to change my rims for the first time ever. I know some rims have compatibility issues and I read somewhere (so i think) that the xdrive measurements are a bit different than the non xdrive.
Im looking to purchase the 400m rims. The measurements are 18x8 and 18x8.5. From the other listings I saw for the rims, Im assuming the tire sizes are 225/45/18 and 255/40/18. Can anyone tell me whether or not these will fit perfect/made to install on my car or is it only for 328i/335i vehicles? Thanks in advance! |

If these are BMW OEM wheels (not rims), then they should fit ok, but check the BMW website and see if these are available as an option for your specific car. Use the "build your own" feature and if they're not offered as an option, then they probably won't fit - but you could also check with your dealership too.

Now I wonder if there's a difference between non-sport line and M-Sport line. |

Good question...brake size might have something to do with that, as they tend to put the larger wheels on cars with the bigger brakes for clearance purposes. I think our M-Sport brakes are larger than those of the non-sport-line, so it would seem that the larger wheels would not present a problem. I don't think the wheel offsets are any different for xi versus non-xi, and I'm also pretty sure that there is no difference in offset for non-sport versus M-Sport.

I too have a 328xi but I'm looking at going to 20". I have read that with an xdrive you should go square but the service guy at my dealership was telling me staggered is ok. What do you guys think?

Yes they will fit. Both the tires and wheels are f30 spec. The BMW stance is they do not run staggered set ups on Xdrives. But it is done all the time by many here and there are no issues. The 400m's will bolt right up.
