328d purchase deals?

Have any new 328d owners been able to negotiate pricing? My thinking is that it may be a tough negotiation because it's so new, but I'm sure they are also anxious to get the diesels out into the public eye as US buyers aren't used to diesels that much.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Got my 328d recently for $500 under invoice. Salesman (internet manager) told me BMW NA is giving dealers "money in the trunk" on the 328d's. Salesman jargon for mfr to dealer incentives. So dealers should be able to sell 328d's at or under invoice and still make a nice profit. Depends on the dealer and how greedy they are. Most I think will quickly go $2k under sticker, but the volume dealers should go invoice or below. Deal with internet mangers. And that discount is BEFORE you take off mfr to customer incentives. The name of the incentive changes. It used to be called "First and Goal" in Nov. $750 on a lease, not sure about purchase. It may be up to $1k now.

Good advice. I read recently that the "take rate" for US VW diesels is 73%. Why BMW prospective owners are so biased against diesels is a shame, but it will make for some good deals. I am very happy with my 328d. I think the take rate for BMW 5 and 7 series diesels is over 90% in Europe. I remember several years ago while driving around Europe in a tiny econo-box rental I parked next to a new BMW 7 series that seemed ginormous by comparison. I was amazed when I walked by the back end and saw the model number on the trunk: 720d.

Maybe even offer below invoice do you think?

IF you would like a quote feel free to email David Aviles at bmwdavid@icloud.com and he will get you all set up.

You can get some pretty solid deals on the 328d you just need to shop around a bit.

Smile New 328D Xdrive

Great discussion --- I am in the market for a 328d Xdrive, and have a good idea of the options I want - (Mineral Grey Metallic, black leather, luxury line, cold weather, driver assist, lighting, auto high beam, premium, technology, anti-theft, Harmon Kardon ) MSRP $53,825.

The year end deals are over and new year deals have started. I am willing to buy the car ASAP, and can wait for delivery. Cash, lease or loan - which ever makes long term financial sense. Euro delivery works as well.

I've talked to a dealer and taken a bunch of test drives, so I am pretty confident at what I'd like.

Any suggestion on my next steps to get the best deal?

People have mentioned services (at a fee) that tell you what the dealer is paying for the car. Any suggestions? I'll be googling as soon as I finish this note, but if there is THE ONE for BMWs, I'l love the input.

If you're looking for the absolute best deal, I'd pursue a European Delivery with a dealer familiar with the process and who does sales across the US. Since you're in Idaho, I'd talk to the dealers in Southern California who have made a name for themselves on the BMW forums for doing great no-hassle deals for a fixed price over invoice with no funny business. I've personally contacted Greg Poland at Pacific BMW and he was nice to work with and straightforward about his pricing. A search, either in these forums or on google, will corroborate my impression of Greg, I'd wager.
