Actually that's an excellent point. Definitely more ISO setting noise in the braking pic. Heck just looking at it and it looks dimmer. The top one looks super bright. I guess hope the problem was with the photographer...

Very good points I will say. I just want to see them on a car installed and working. I am also interested on the rear fog.. If these do not have rear fogs ten I keep my stock ones.

The rear fogs I suspect are the inner lights that go in the trunk, much like the normal regular bulbs.

They might be, but some of us do not like that new design. I certainly do not like it, but they might grow on me. I like this aftermarket option it makes the tails look more F10ish and those are my current favorite BMW tail lamps.

I would think they would be plug and play unless BMW changes the actual plugs. Assuming that it does plug and play, you would probably need to code out any checks that are for typical incandescent bulbs, or code something else to even get them to light up.

You're going to struggle with the indicator wiring for the boot lid

I was afraid coding may be involved but I'm sure someone on the forum will try and post the results. These lights do look sharp, but can easily tell they are not oem.

No they do not, they clearly look aftermarket and I bet you they are even made by the same folks. They are identical based on what I am seeing.

On a side note, I was lurking around the shop bmwusa site last night and noticed that when the lci e9x came out, they had the led retrofits for sale on the site, so maybe we'll get the same thing with the F30 lci

Great point!

Even though the bulbs are error free or CEL, you still have three items to code for each light:
  • Turn off Wam checks
  • Turn off Cold checks
  • Let car know that there are LEDs there

These are really quite easy to code and once you do this, there will be no flicker.
Be happy to provide the specific items to code.

crickets....crickets....if i hadnt have already rerotfitted all of my lights i would have bought these. it would also suck if the reverse lights werent LED.

and am i correct in my thinking when i say it looks like the light bars turn off when they hit the brakes? that would be pretty crappy if they did.

Here are the pictures. I posted one with the lights off, one with it on, and one with the signal lights on as well. Overall, it looks nice and its an easy install.

do you think you could make a video showing the various functions? i.e. braking with the LED bars on and off, blinkers, reverse lights
