I think this was established to be region specific but anyway; can someone post a pic
Thanks

Also on a side note. Can someone with satin silver dash finish trim post a pic of their passenger side air vent area. Wanna check something. Thanks!

LOL I knew my F30 had this remote trunk release button and when I looked at my E46, it had a similar release button, something new I found in my 10 year old bimmer! (or maybe I knew about it and simply forgot).

Are you asking for pic of inside trunk release button like this?

Actually hitting the ignition that 2nd time is unnecessary. Try for yourself. After hitting the ignition button just once (engine off but ignition/radio still on), get out of the car and close your door. When you press the lock button on the fob, the ignition and everything will turn off and the alarm will engage (you'll hear the beep).

My wife was the first one to find this in my F30.

I looked at the pic again and it's just the lighting...my bad. The reflections make the sterring column look blue which it isn't. Great color choice.

it was mentioned in another thread, but good to consolidate here...yup, compass feature FTW.

Annoying that it defaults to no compass though.
When I picked up my car on Friday, the compass was activated. Maybe my dealer turned it on? Maybe it comes activated now?

I live in a complex with a gated garage. I was told that I could set up the garage button on the rear view mirror to open my gate.

To my surprise, it automatically set up after I pressed the key fob once. The kicker, my gate opens automatically when I get within approximately 15 feet (WITHOUT pushing a button!).

I thought someone might have opened the gate while I was pulling up - we have tried it five times and it worked every time!

Yes. Same here, my car came with compass already activated.

Did you know that the F30 comes with a CD player?

I'm joking, but kind of not joking at the same time. I recently was cleaning the dash, looked at the CD slot and thought "what is that?" It never really occurred to me that it had a CD player because I don't have any CDs.

Yes, I was shocked, too, when I saw a CD player in the dash. 6 years ago I tried to give away all my CDs (but of course my wife stopped me, they're in a box next to the books that fill half a bedroom). Embarrassing.

If I am not mistaken, the car will rip music off your CDs and store it in the hard drive.

If the stereo is turned off (muted) you can turn it back on just by pushing the volume button on the steering wheel. No need to reach over to the dashboard. Nice!

6 years ago almost all the cars had a CD player. Which car you had so you decided to throw away your CD`s?

When you reverse at night, the door handle LED lights turn on so the ground is lit up as you reverse...was pleasantly surprised the other night....

I switched to iTunes and iPods probably a decade ago. Much easier to listen to exactly what I want, from the many Gbytes of my tunes. But it never occurred to me to stick a DVD in there, have to try that some time.
