Getting Tint
I'm getting my windows tinted on Tuesday. Usually I go 15%, but I don't think it looks good on Black Sapphire because it's for a lighter sheen to it, unlike Jet Black.
I think 20% would look better, what do you think? Also I plan to get a windshield strip. any thoughts pro/con? it's lumarr. will it interfere with anything? Thanks! |

If your tint is ceramic, it should be effect any of your electronics. Also the difference between 15% and 20% isn't that much. Both should look good

Ceramic films don't affect RF signals (AM/FM radio, RFID for the key, TPMS, cell) in the car. Metallic films might. Check before you install.

Just out of curiosity, does the back window have a dot matrix that the old ones had that would make tinting difficult?

I've decided to go with Floridas legal limit of tint. 28% on front, 15% on the rest. |

I have it on my X5 as I wanted to stay legal, going to get it on my new F30 as well tomorrow or the day after. It's almost like there's nothing lol. We've been pulled over on the M3 more than once so yah :/

We had the choice between 'premium' and 'ultra ceramic' and went with the latter, the price difference was only 100 bucks.. other than this, the dealer is doing it so I have no idea what brand. They also did it on our X5 and they did a great job on that car too, it never broke down, no air bubbles and such, so I trust them in that regard

I don't think they all do, not sure if mine actually does it themselves or if they have a company who does it for them. All I know is that they arrange it for me
