F32 435i Valve Issue?!
Hello - I hope I have the right sub-forum? Please excuse me if not.
I've had a 2015 435i pre-lci since March this year; great car - wonderful engine; and a great upgrade from the 420i - with better fuel consumption..(what's up with that?) ANYWAY; My issue relates to the left exhaust valve - when I've driven the car (fairly hard), sport manual - after about 30 mins or so the left valve makes a squeaking noise; as if the metal or mechanism has expanded and rubbing. While I would expect just a 'click' or a normal valve close sound; I really didn't expect this to be an issue! Here is a video of the problem; Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction with any advice? Thanks Marc |

Sounds to me like the linkage for the blow-off valve, or something associated with idling. Weird sound, for sure. |

I had a fault exhaust valve on my M235i. There was a TSB on it and the dealer replaced it at around 7k. Mine was making a rattling noise at times when cold. The problem is gone with the new valve.
