New ride
So my 2014 328GT was a lemon and was bought back by BMW. As soon as that was done i reached out to Jon Shafer at BMW Santa Barbara and ordered a 2016 335GT. Jon was a pleasure to deal with and made the order to delivery process as smooth as you can ask for. I drove down to Santa Barbara from the Bay Area and when i got there my car was front and center with a bow ready for pickup. If anyone is able and willing to travel to get a car from Jon there is no reason not to take advantage of the service and deals he provides. Now the car.
2016 335 GT M-Sport, Glacier Silver, Saddle Brown, Fineline Anthracite, DHP, Nav, HK, Heated Seats, Driver Asst., MPPK. I was able to add the M performance power kit to the car right before it got to the port. And it was worth it. I had the 328gt for over a year and when it wasnt in the shop it was fun but always felt under-powered to me. It is heavier than the f30 and it need that extra power. I knew that i would order a 335 and when i found out i could get the MPPK and for the price it was a no brainer. As for the color choice i was on the fence about the silver and brown combo and was not able to find any Msport models in this configuration to see what it would look like. As soon as i saw it i was happy i went with that combo. I think it looks really slick. Just got tints yesterday. 20% in back and 35% in front. Its a little dirty we had rain and more coming so holding off on a wash. Just wanted to share tint pictures. Cant wait for the 1,200 mile mark so i can really open it up. |

Nice Job man, those rims are too small though, any thoughts on an upgrade?
I'm doing 5% on the very rear windows, 20% on the rear, and 20% up front and 60 or 70 for the windshield. It will be super cozy Quote:

Nice. Did the 2014 have the boomerangs on the fenders too? I thought only the Gran Coupes did........

Beautiful ride. I was *this close* to a 335GT, but the F31 was too damn sexy for me to resist. Agree on the ride of the 18's vs the 19's. I'm in Manhattan and the 18 wheels are plenty big. 19's look great, but not worth it for me.
Such a shame we can't get a wagon with the N55 from BMW. Enjoy in good health!

The Air vents have always been on the GT. This is why the GT is part 3 series part 4 series and part X series.

I actually fit a full size futon folded flat in my 2014 328GT with room to spare.

If they don't bring more engines to the next G generation of wagons over here, I may have to just go with the GT. Or jump ship to an E63 wagon.

We took delivery of our 328GT in March of 14 and now with 16k on it I was just telling my wife two days ago how we have not had one single problem with the car. I have had four BMW's and the worst thing I have ever had happen was a window regulator go out of my 01. That is a shame you had a lemon. I switched to Porsche for two years and that was always broke and then we bought a new Ford Fusion that blew the tranny at 12k miles in 2010 and that car had all kinds of problems. We are back to BMW to stay and will be ready to get our new Gran Coupe next year. GOOD LUCK with your new GT!
