Want your brake dust to wash away easily?... My video reivew of CarPro DLUX

Washing my wheels weekly is not something that I look forward to, but it is a necessary evil to protect the finish from pitting and staining.

Being the detail freak I am, I wanted to see if there was any product out there that could help PROTECT the wheel from brake dust damage and help it wash off with ease. Since I will be away for a few weeks this summer without the ability to wash the car, protection is key for me.

My first thought was to use a coating of some sort, so I went ahead and ordered a bottle of CarPro DLUX from autogeek.

To apply, I took the wheel off the car and thoroughly cleaned it and dried it. I followed the application procedure, let it sit for 10 minutes in the sun, and I was done.

Here is a video of the results, this is one week of build up.

Please keep in mind I only coated the face of the wheel for this test (didn't know it was going to come out so great). I still give them a light scrub with the wheel woolies but all in all it takes me only a few minutes to clean my wheels now vs half an hour.

You be the judge

That's pretty impressive.

Was one bottle just enough to cover 4 wheels?

Good stuff! Although it's a little pricey, I've never found anything close to dLux for exterior rubber and plastic trim.
