Metal Valve Caps and TPMS
I've noticed that new BMWs no longer come with the metal valve caps.
I've also read that it's something to do with the TPMS. Is this correct? Can I buy the metal ones and fit them safely or will they seize up? |

I had metal dust caps until they seized last week. Luckily I got them off with mole grips, however they split. Read somewhere they can corrode and seize. Luckily did not damage the valves in the process of removal.
I now have plastic ones (grey) however struggled finding them in that colour. They don't look as good as the metal but blend with my silver wheels well. |

Heard of a few seizing up when I posted a thread about some shite nicking my plastic ones
You can buy a load of plastic ones circa 50 for about £2 on flea bay.

Mine are plastic, on my F30 LCI. I put a pair of metal ones on my previous car, E90 LCI and they corroded, requiring new valves, costing me around £150.
