Heated Seats Chicago

I live in Chicago and I never had heated seats and never had a need for them, I am trying to figure out if I should get them. Anyone in Chicago who has them, how much do you use them and are they really worth it.
thanks

My 2000 E46 was the first car I ever had (still have it, actually) with heated seats, and I will NEVER buy another car without them. They're just too nice not to have in Chicago winters.

I live in NJ and didn't need the heated seats either so I ordered my car without them. Got a call from my SM who told me that he'd get in trouble if I cancelled my order after production and he'd be stuck with a car without heated seats so he gave them to me for free.

Methinks that if you try to order an F30 in Chicago without heated seats you might wind up in the same situation.

I've lived in Laguna Beach and Dallas and would not consider a car without them. I play soccer and ride bikes and they're great for soothing your back no matter the outside temperature.

If you have leather, get the heated seats. Its a must. Heated steering wheel too, its not that big of a deal, but sometimes its so coold without gloves. Just spoil yourself.

P.S. helps resale value a ton! people want nifty gadgets...

Yeah, definitely get them. Even on the west coast I love them at least a few times a year. If I lived somewhere cold, they'd be a no-brainer.

I wouldn't say they're an absolute must, but I think for $500 they're worth it anywhere that gets cold in the winter. They heat up faster than the main heater (i.e. the engine) does.
