I'm not hearing anything there which says you're going to squeeze much more out of the 430d over the 420d. The 420d is not a slow car by any means so I'd consider sticking with that and, if the cash is burning a hole in your pocket, tick some more options.
I don't want to ignite an xDrive debate but in the two years I've owned my 320d I've never once thought, "I need AWD". Maybe if I lived deep in the country... |

Why a 430d x drive?
If it was me, I would go for the 430d S Drive, or stick with the 420d s drive and get some more kit...

I upgraded my f30 320d order to a 330d and have never regretted it once over the 8 months of ownership.
Not sure of your thought process going from s-drive to x-drive. I've not felt the need for AWD so perhaps if you went for 430d s-drive the extra cost would reduce from £40 to below £30? And the coupe would retain it's lower stance.
