Fuse location diagram question
I am trying to determine whether my fuse has blown on my windscreen washer pump but i don't understand the location chart. What does the car symbol represent? A hard wired connection?
Same symbol on a lot of things such as parking brake and horn. Last edited by coolts; 05-26-2021 at 09:27 AM.. |

What symbol are you talking about the lifting the car one or the just a random car one?

Ya I got nothing I don't have an idea what that would mean I searched the internet and prodemmand and Alldata couldn't find a thing, If you are trying to find a blown fuse quickly I'd buy a 5 dollar test light hook it up to the battery and touch both side of the fuses if it lights up they are good if not then it's bad. If you find out anything I'd love to know what that means lol

It's bizarre. Every modern bmw in the world has that fuse chart and no one knows what it means. Got nothing on reddit either. I'm going to call the dealer with my bullshit detector active.

I bet it means take the car to a dealer where it will lift it up, replace a fuse, and charge you money for lifting it up.
Perhaps it's a major fuse and thus shouldn't be blowing so you need something fixed? Someone said 'hardwired.' I wonder if control is through a major module?

Yes, it’s a 30A fuse. Likely in the FEM, which would then be Fuse 7 (the only 30A fuse there).
“Car on a lift” is kinda the universal ‘take it in for service’ icon… especially when they’re showing locations for fuses which the user can replace) |
