2017 330i B46 SULEV Stock.
Want to know which cars y'all have beat with the new 4 cylinder. Here's my small list as I just got the car.
2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti
Saturn Redline tuned on E85
2011 BMW 335i Sedan
2016 BMW 328i
2015 Honda Civic Si
Been using OBDFusion, unsure of how accurate it is, this is one of my readings.

Any plans to tune it? You seem to do a lot of racing

That is hardly a lot of racing.
Back in 2001 when I had a brand new WRX, I would run it nightly on the streets of Edmonton. Only lost to an anniversary edition mustang, ran him twice and had him off the line obviously, but then he left me for dead. didn't get a 3rd chance to ask him what he had under the hood, and I forgot what the other car I lost to was.
Always someone willing to have a bit of fun if you catch them at the right time.

Can't do that as much now in Halifax, the whole city would easily be less than 10% of Edmontons size, but i have had some fun with probably a dozen or more cars on the highways surrounding the area, and one bike.
In regards to the OP, none with my bmw were really from a stop, just sort of pushing someone on the highway to go a hit faster.
Wife got her first ticket in decades because I told her to undertake some slow cars, at 140 kph. She got a ticket, i got a warning at 150 in the rain, sometimes it pays to be a trucker

I plan on upgrading my "charge pipe" & downpipe before I get a BM3 Tune. I was surprised with my performance on the Giulia & 335i so I'm not too concerned about BM3 just yet.

Understandable, but he's racked up quite the list.
Only cars that wanna race me are the occasional benz/audi but typically it's every american muscle car under the moon.

Interesting, I thought the chargepipe upgrade wasn't as necessary on the B motors. Agreed though, these cars have plenty of power and you can have lots of fun before upping that power.

Honestly, I'm not sure if it's as necessary. I'm new to BMW's but I'm trying to do my research on them to do everything right. As far as I've read, the stock one is slightly smaller in diameter and the ER "chargepipe" is 3" same as throttle body.

The B48/B46 don’t require a chargepipe or fmic upgrade. I’m running bm3 stage 1 - 93 now on stock parts. Waiting for laws to change so I can get a catless dp and go to stage 2. I guess I could just buy a catted dp.

How do you feel the power difference between stock & BM3 Stage 1?
What cars can you beat now that you weren't to when stock?

You can definitely feel no more lag. The only cars I have tried to outrun were a 2020 Ford Police Interceptor and 2019 Dodge Charger hemi police package. And in the snow I can outrun both. On dry roads the Hemi charger easily overpowers me. Lol.

I have a 2017 430i Gran Coupe B46 SULEV, the current mods I have are an ER charge pipe, ER catless downpipe, MST cold air intake, and bootmod3 stage 2. The power difference from stock vs stage 2 is very present, I just love the car!

That's basically the same setup I want for now, except I'm debating the AFE Magnum Intake or just the AFE 5R Filter and front grille air scoop. Got any videos on sounds/runs? Also about how much power you think all that comes down to? I was surprised on my OBDFusion reading but I'm not sure how accurate they are.

Well that's a bummer since it doesn't snow where I live : , but wow! What a difference on the beginning numbers. Can't believe my stock motor starts off so slow lol

Stage 2 adds about 18% more HP and 28% more TQ, so just after the tune I had about 292 HP and 330 TQ. Then the downpipe can add up to 24wtq and 16whp, while the intake can add up to 12whp. So if I am correct the current power I have is 354wtq and 320whp, I would still love to put it on a dyno for a more accurate reading. I do have videos on sounds but for runs I always forget to record😭

I'd like the see that dyno also! I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to make this motor quicker, couldn't find much info/posts on them.

The only car I've had that wanted to play around was some dumb 2012ish G37 sedan. Was surprised how quick that car was. I put the pedal to just before kick-down and he was still at my tail. I always let off around 10mph over the limit.

Surprised I don't have more instances like OP, being in a red 340i. 90% of my driving is pretty tame so maybe that has something to do with it.

Update:
Bought a JB+ on OfferUp for a deal & plugged it in same nigh. Got to say, you can definitely feel a difference in power! But, like I've read online there is some jerkiness.

How accurate is OBDFusion?

This is a reading I got in

not accurate at all. You know there's no way a +4 psi boost (max on JB+) will get you anywhere near 300hp. Maybe a bm3 or mhd stage 2 will get you over 300.
I'm on bm3 stage 1 with all stock parts and I'm still under 300. you saw my mustang dyno (heartbreaker dyno) on a stock b46 xdrive has 233 hp at the wheels on bm3 stage 1.

Yes, right when I saw the numbers I believed it was too good to be true. I was guessing maybe to the crank? But I'm guessing not. I'll be running new cars soon so I'll see if it made a difference.

Any upcoming mods for you xDrive?

I was thinking stage 2 with a catless dp but now I'm thinking smaller wheels (since my daughter just curbed both left wheels yesterday) with runflats again and giving her the car for her 18th birthday coming up and moving forward a generation. I'll reflash back to stock and move my BM3 to my next car.

Stage 2 & Catless DP does sound interesting ... but that would be the perfect 18th birthday gift! Since you plan on upgrading a generation, do you plan on staying with the 4 cylinder or upgrading to the I6?

I’m definitely flashing back to stock for her. She’s having too much fun. I let her drive home the other day (2.5 hrs) and took a nap. I looked at our life360 the next day and saw her highest recorded speed was 100mph. So I know life360 doesn’t record the highest from experience so she was definitely going faster. She doesn’t need stage 2. Stock is fine.

I’m probably going B58. If I get a convertible it will be the Z4. If not it will be the M340i. I test drove both and love both.

Hello everyone.
Could you please clarify what is B46 engine's oil temperature in normal conditions (cruising)?
(Mean not coolant temp, but oil - in hidden kombi menu)
