That 335 when "new" was a 300HP/300ftlb car (BMW marketing). 21 years later, much less, unless it was modified.

The 4-cylinder will be always great for the those lower speed sprints. It has less rotational mass and spins up quicker. When the speeds increase, then larger displacement becomes better for power due to lower pumping losses.

It's only been 11 years since 2011 lmao. That 335 would smoke a 330i. Lots of times people think others are racing and they're just not or not really driving all that hard. Love hearing dumb stories like this.
