Question F36 Gran Coupè wiper blade service mode. WtF

So I tried to activate service mode using the internet method. On, off, push and hold wiper stalk up

Nothing

Went on to try every damn conceivable permutation of the above inputs and

Still nothing

I then lifted each arm from the glass in its resting position and un clicked and replaced both blades as quick as click click, click click

Am I missing something here or is the f36 (gran coupe) wiper assembly totally different from the other f series cars so that 'service' feature isnt coded?

Confused dot com

Per the comment section of this video, it seems that some years/models may require you to push down instead. Worth a shot.

Pre-LCI F36 works… Ignition on/off, then Hold the wiper stalk UP hard for 3 secs.

(per the BMW Driver’s Guide app)

The fold out procedure should be in your manual. It's in mine.

Ignition on and off, then hold the stock down, then wiper will go to service position.

I have a 2019 F36, this is how it works on my car, so likely works the same as yours.

Even though most instructions on the internet say to hold it up, my manual says hold it down and it works for me. Hope this helps.

Yeah mine is 1000% not working then lol. Took seconds to swap them in the regular horizontal position though?

Mine is an LCI car If that makes a difference?

You need to read your manual to determine the procedure for your vehicle.

Holding the lever down doesn't work either? Something seems wrong... Mine is an LCI too.
