Just out of curiosity, what was the point of the Wifi in the car? Was it to stream media from either laptop, tablet, phone, etc to the iDrive? I found something in there about video over LAN?

Oooh

I saw a previous post by Shawn on this:

"In most cases though, one can recover by injecting new CAFD (Using "Detect CAF for SWE" or the SVT Editor) into ECU and VO Coding it."

Also found:

You need to add the CAFD back to KOMBI and VO Code the ECU:

Connect => Read FA => Activate FA => Read VCM => Left-Click on KOMBI => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD matching your I-Level => Select OK => Right-Click on KOKBI (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

To determine your I-Level, go to VCM Module => VCM Master Tab => click Read under I-Steps. The I-Step (current) is the one you want to match when you select the CAFD from the "Detect CAF for SWE" options (e.g. F001-08-09-550).

OK coding Gurus ...Can you help me please?
I tackled my first coding session yesterday which went very well (so far so good anyway) but had a question about changing something else...
Basically I would prefer to rotate the idrive wheel clockwise to zoom in for the Nav but at the moment it rotates anti-clockwise which is really frustrating! I constantly find myself 'twizzling' the wrong way as it's counter intuitive for me
Can anyone please confirm if this can be done and also whether it is satnav dependant?
I also find the jog wheel on the steering wheel is the opposite to how my brain works at times too but can't remember what exactly. I will try it again and get back to you...
TIA

"Code Default Values" = "Screw Me Hard". Glad you were able to recover from it.

Sorry, I have never seen a code to change the iDrive Controller zoom direction.

Right is Zoom Out and Left is Zoom in. It does seem backwards now that you mention it.

As for the steering wheel control, that is up scrolls up and down scrolls down, which makes perfect sense.

Thats a shame but thanks for getting back to me
Do you know if you can code the parking sensor to come on automatically at a low speed? My old Merc sensors used to come on when I approached a parking space without me having to engage reverse first. This is my first BMW and I keep forgetting that the sensors don't come on by default...I've come far too close at times!!! Any ideas people?

No, not possible either. I think finally new F15 has Auto PDC Sensors, so this be showing up in more and more new builds, but I think it requires different hardware.

Hi -- lately I've been trying to customize my car's settings more to my liking (via coding), and I came across the following:

FEM_BODY - 3020 TCMaster > TCM_LOGIC_15_OFF_OSFG
(Description: Deactivation of KL15 by reaching OSFG.)

It is set to Aktiv by default, which means that the ignition is turned off when "OSFG" is reached. But can anyone tell me what OSFG is? I've tried looking it up on all the BMW acronym lists and haven't found anything.

Many thanks to anyone who might know!

I'm not sure exactly what OSFG stands for, but if I had to guess, TCM_LOGIC_15_OFF_OSFG turns off Radio / Navigation etc. upon opening Driver's Door instead if upon locking the car.

The "turn off when door is open" for the F30 is: TCM_LOGIC_R_OFF_DOOR to aktiv.

I have no idea what OSFG is either. If it's already active by default, then it might be to turn off when you lock the car. That's the default for F30's.

Ok. That is very close to F10 Code, TC_LOGIC_KLR_OFF_DOOR.

Started coding a few days ago, first VO coding 6NS, then some FDL coding.
Today I wanted to code rear DRL, but when I tried "Read Coding Data" from REM I got the following error :

REM [72] [F8108XX]
readCPS o.k.
cafd_000007a1-005_031_103 Fehler:
File for "cafd_000007a1-005_031_103" not found! [C012]

I-Step is F020-13-11-504, PSZData 51.3, so it should be working, right?
I guess I'm missing some CAFD file, but I have no idea where to get the right one.

Any ideas?

I brought this up in the iDrive section of the forums, but I thought I'd check here too see if there is a coding solution. Is there anyway to code the system so that the screen settings that were displayed when the car shutdown come up when the car is started again? In other words, if I have RDS displayed on a radio station when I turn the car off, it will default back to that? I have a 2014 320xi without navigation.

Thanks!

Are you saying that RDS is off when you turn the car back on?

Is split view off all together, or it is still spit, but something other than RDS is displayed in small window?
