Taking my 335 @ less than 900 miles
My car has a few annoying problems that need to be corrected.
I have a few other rattles but sadly I cant hear them over the noisy chair. Once that is fixed I'll start addressing those myself. |

With regards to number 3:
Make sure the fob is not in the same pocket as your phone as it tends to cause interference. Number 4: Select phone and choose options, make sure audio is enabled.

I'm curious to what happens with comfort access? I had issues with mine at first, but it was user error. I was putting my hands/fingers in the wrong area to lock/unlock or doing it too fast/often and it didn't like it. I suspect you've figured out the proper way to operate it if you've had the car more than a few days (it took me a couple days to realize what I was doing wrong).

I just ran outside. I confirmed Bluetooth Audio is enabled. However, my phone is still not showing up under media. I know it worked when I 1st got the car. |

I found this to be true with the E9x keys when in my pocket with iphone. I tried the F30 key with phone in same pocket and it works flawlessly everytime. i was impressed and figured they corrected the phone pocket interference issue with the F30.

Does the comfort access work if you have gloves on?

For some silly reason when I first got the car I thought that you had to press the button to unlock it and lock it, when all I really had to do was touch the inside of the handle as if I was going to open the door. |

I went to lunch today and when I left the office it worked. However, when I came out of the restaurant and tried it the same way as before it did not work. It shouldn't be this complicated. |

This is exactly why I chose to not order comfort access. The concept is fine, but completely uneccessary. I hope everyones CA issues get resolved but after reading this post I'm glad I didn't get CA. I'd be very angry if it didn't work too. After all it's there for comfort right?
Sometimes choosing these options that aren't needed create frustrating time consuming problems. Good luck |

It works fine for me 99% of the time, except when I need it most! i.e. the only time it doesn't work is if it's raining so hard I run to the car and pull the door handle very fast. You need to slide your fingers in the gap and just give it a fraction of a second to unlock.

Sorry some people have issues, I'm sure there is some sensor issue of sorts and it is fixable by the dealer. |

I've never had an issue with the comfort access. The trunk is a bit iffy, but I can usually get it working pretty easily now.
The unlock sensor should unlock as soon as you touch it - it's on the inside of the handle. The strips/ridges on the top of the handle are where you press to lock it, make sure you aren't touching both. Out of curiosity do you have very dry skin? I have no issues with the sensors even with gloves on, but technologically speaking some people, especially older people with dry skin are prone to having more issues. My mother has a oven with capacitive controls and literally can't use it in winter. She'll push and prod the buttons with all her might and her fingers just don't have the "juice" to trigger the sensor, and I've never had an issue. Try to make sure you're only touching the inside area and to make sure the key is close enough. Perhaps try to take the key out of your pocket and see if it lets you open it easier - it's possible something is causing interference so that your hand isn't the problem it's the key. (Though my wife leaves her key in the purse and it never has an issue)

no issues from mine either. have you checked the passenger side door? does it do the same? what about your trunk? does it open with your foot? just wondering if its only your door handle that has a problem or centralized.

CA is very finicky. Don't use your thumb to open it (open palm open, takes 1 second)...and use one finger to lock on the raised ridged area...

CA works for me 110% of the time. How can it work more than 100% you may ask? Because when I'm washing the car and I spray the handle it locks the car. It turns off the tunes I was playing

Totally concur, I can't have the key near the car while washing it or it'll lock/unlock the doors and sometimes open the trunk if the water hose somehow works its way under the trunk sensors. Kinda funny. |

I dropped her of at BMW of Annapolis this morning. Its funny when I stopped in the service lane I saw everyone head turn to my car as my breaks screamed. I do hope it gets fixed because its really annoying. However, the noisy chair is much worse. The M-sport suspension makes it so every bump makes my chair squeak 10 times. Odd note ~ I received a 2011 328 loaner. I'm impressed with the engine. I did not enjoy the feel of the 2013 328. The I6 just feels silky smooth compared the the 4 banger. I finally understand what E90 owners complain about when comparing steering feel. The E90 steering is heavy. I like the electronic steering better. My steering feels similar at highway speed but in the parking lot mine is a lot easier and nice to use. |
