1st time buying wheels, assistance needed

Hello,

So I found some wheels I like and are relatively inexpensive: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...int&tab=wheels

If I want to keep my setup as stock as possible (with runflats) would I need spacers, worry about offset, or need new TPMS? My car is a 428i sport line with the 18" style 397 wheels.

Thank you.

you do not need spacers with the +32 offset offered with the wheels you're interested in. if you are transferring the tpms and tires from your 397's and putting them on your new wheels then you do not need new TPMS or tires (unless you're staggered), obviously.

personally i'd spend a little bit more and get something lighter and of higher quality if you can afford it.

Perfect, looks like I just need the wheels then. What bronze-tinted wheels would you recommend instead of those ASA's?

did a quick check on tirerack and the bronze ASA is the only one in that sort price range.

these TSW nurburgring are $100/wheel more but flow formed and lighter if you're interested.

Those are really good looking. Especially on AW. I'll see what I'll do, if the 397 I have now are the same weight as the ASAs then I won't mind the weight. The car is also a lease so I'll have to weight that in too.

ok gotcha about lease

i believe the ASA's are slightly lighter than the 397's. the TSW's are 19.6lbs. many things we buy today are made in china or have parts made there and some products are as good or better (im guilty of buying china stuff all the time). the ASA's are likely fine enough, i just don't like the idea of chinese made wheels such as ASA.

how much is the shipping cost from tirerack to you? maybe the total shipped price difference between the two may not be as much.

Amazon has the TSW's for 272 (possibly free shipped) x 4 = $1088

Hmm, I was hoping the TSW's were eligible for Prime.

The ASA's shipped to an install center near me and installed are $80 somehow.

it means front and rear tyre are different width..

for example, staggered set up will have wheels with 8.5inch width for front and 9.5inch widht for rear wheels.

hopes this help
