People, please stop buying these things. If nobody bought them, they would go back to selling wagons. It never ceases to amaze me how many people who drive an SUV say they would never drive a wagon. Idiots. The differences between an suv and a wagon: SUV is heavier, higher center of gravity, lousy handling, longer braking distance, worse gas mileage, all for the privilege of having the exact same amount of interior room. If they sold a 5 series all wheel drive touring, why would I choose an x5 over that. What advantages would it have? Same with a 3 series wagon vs. x3. I'm probably going to trade in my pickup next winter for an x5 to be my winter beater, but if they sold the touring here, that would be my choice. A few simple things can really make a touring look sharp. Subtle lowering, slightly wider wheels and tires, and window tint and you've got a nice looking ride. Better looking than an SUV.
GT is not even in my discussion 'cause I wouldn't park one in my driveway if it was given to me for free.
+1

I prefer the Touring and after the sedan.

I personally don't care for the GT at all it's ugly. I LOVE the sedan and equally love the touring sport wagon.

An ugly car on big wheel is still an ugly car!

The GT is not ugly but not a refine design. Maybe the next version will be better..

I'd probably take the saloon, then the GT. I wouldn't really consider a BMW tourer again - nothing wrong with them, but I use the extra load space maybe once a year. I'd use the extra space in the GT every time I had more than 1 passenger.

The 3GT really works best in M-sport or Luxury, the modern looks like shit.

I would take the 3GT over a F10/F11 though.

Sedan all the way, 3 GT looks far more good than the 5 GT.

Like the whole range. Something for everyone.

Tip: X3 with 3GT's front would be awesome. Or maybe on the X4!

Orange rear indicators are excellent. I really wish the F30 and F31 had those. Aside from that, the F31 is by far my favorite of the three.

I tell you what I really like about the GT. NO WHALE HUMP ON THE HOOD.

F30 should have come with a smoother hood line like the GT. I get the pedestrian safety reg. and all that, but other companies don't have such an obvious "raised hood" look. It's the only thing I dislike about the F30 design, but I dislike it severely.

In contrast, the profile view of the GT is really nice and clean in the front, much more a classic BMW.

Wow. BMW did a really great job with the GT. Actually like it ALOT more than the 3-series sedan... Its more practical for carrying things around and has alot of room in the trunk. The styling is nice because the roof line is so sleek. Nice proportions. Cant want to see this baby dropped on some 20" concave forged wheels.

dare i say we see hints to the LCI F30? id love to see that front and rear on a sedan. The new shape of the headlights meeting the grill look great and the sculpted tails on the f34 are way better than the f30.

I like the Touring, but would like it with current '11 335d engine.

If I was in the market for a wagon... I'd switch and buy the GT - more progressive, sleek and less "wagon" like but with most of the utility. Not a home-run with the GT but at least a single.

Still holding out for a stunning 4 series Gran Coupe!
