iOs 9.2 update messed up my USB audio
Has anyone else experienced issues after upgrading to iOS 9.2? Before this my iPhone was working perfectly playing music through the usb port. Now after the update the phone will play music for about 1 to 3 minutes and stop playing music and say that the phone is disconnected on the BMW display but the phone still thinks it is docked and will not play music out of the speaker even if I disconnect my cable. I have tried multiple cables that worked perfectly before the update. Plugging it back out and in doesn't do anything, only restarting the phone fixes it and lets it play for another few minutes.

Ah crap I hope this doesn't happen to me.
Looks like you have CIC navi tho if you have a 2012, I have NBT, guess we'll see what happens.

I've been having trouble as well. It often doesn't play, forcing me to restart the phone. Furthermore, it's completely quit displaying album art on USB. I unplug it, and Bluetooth shows the artwork. Plug it back into USB, and the artwork disappears. Frustrating.

I contacted apple support and they told me to fully restore the phone. The usb audio is working but the album art only shows up if the song is downloaded to the phone.

I still have my Mac SE that I used in the 80's. I have been a Mac user since then, I use primarily Apple products, although I do have a Surface Pro 3 I kind of like, but find a little too unreliable to use on a regular basis.
I have become frustrated with Apple's software trajectory. They seem to think that it is more important to add features than to make sure things work properly. As more 'features' are added, the more frustrating it becomes. I find that at least once a week I want to throw my iPhone at something concrete as hard as I can. It's frustrating. Thanks for reminding me to turn off the auto update feature. I have been thinking about moving to the Nexus 6P, but I am addicted to iMessage as everyone I know is on it, and it works from my Computer and iPads littering my house. B. |

I had this same issue yesterday and fixed it by completely deleting the Bluetooth connections from my phone and from the car and starting over, prior to this Bluetooth and USB wouldn't play.

the spotify app is acting up on me with 9.2 and my CIC.
Will play for awhile then it 'disconnects'... seems to do this when I have a weak LTE signal. At least that's what I'm noticing when it' occurred.

So far no issues with the update to latest IOS on my 6+ and my 2013 System.
BTW: BWM is absolutely terrible about updating their Bluetooth software for Apple products in any sort of timely fashion. The latest available for my car is only up to IOS 5! I've squawked at them several times, but apparently falls on deaf ears. |
