Karbonius Composites CF F32 interior CF kit, unbox and install

Hey guys..

I wanted to share my latest change in my car, and couldn't be more impressed. So much so, forgive me, I had to do an unboxing video.

These guys make an amazing array of products including the legendary E46 CSL CF airbox, which I looked at doing for a LONG time, but then swapped to my F32.

Their full CF interior kit just arrived, and I am floored. CF sometimes can be hit or miss, and this guys are killing it, including matching my red interior accents absolutely perfectly.

I will have a full install video up this weekend, but had to share what I just got.. they went above and beyond in packing to make sure it arrived safe and is just gorgeous!

**update**

The full install is up, and as expected really easy. Honestly could be done in 15min, and with 2 tools, and is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge improvement. This is the best CF interior kit I have ever seen including OEM.

Unboxing video:

Not a fan of the red accent, but cool appearance though.
Why had you send them the upper trim panel with the installed grilles and slatboxes? Removal is easy and quickly done.
Yeah, a quote of the pricing would be interesting

They are right in the middle of rebuilding their entire website, and are working mainly through their FB page or direct emails right now. Ping them and they can quote you the kit because they make each one separately, you can make custom changes for what you want. Best way is to talk with David the owner, great guy, and get a specific quote.

I really like the red.. its a nod to my previously red M3.. the color is actually ironic as all of my family freaked when I brought home a dark grey car instead of red, yellow or orange. They thought alien abduction. I fell in love with the red interior highlights though (and all the options I wanted were in this car) and brought it home. 8)

The center trim has the slats as I am swapping out core pieces with them just in how we worked out this deal, with or without the vents was ok.

For a quote, reach out to them on FB or email directly as they like to quote each project based on what you would want and they can customize. 8)

GREAT company and really fantastic owner in David.

I'm interested in swapping to glossy CF for my interior. While I understand each project might be different, can you please let me know how much you paid? I got a quote from oCarbon already and didn't realize there was another company that did this stuff.

I have a flyer from them showing all of the information, pictures and order process. Price is 888.43euro, so roughly $1066 US plus deposit for the core.

Shoot me a PM with your email and I will send you the flyer as well.

I cant make a comparison since I haven't seen oCarbon first hand, but have to say Karbonius puts out amazing work. They aren't just interior or appearance pieces, but performance as well and I think that shows in the quality of what they make.

Got a quote from them, about $1100 EUR all in with shipping. With duties I'm basically paying almost same price as OEM. Too bad, it looks nice!

Which kit are you looking at, do you have a part number? the M Performance kit that is mostly alcantara and a slight strip of CF is roughly $900 here in the US and isn't even close to this setup.

Couple of things to think about.. first, and imho, this is better than OEM by a lot. I have seen several examples of the oem kits, and this CF looks better. This looks just fantastic, and like I mentioned, my camera and the dark rainy days right now don't do the full CF justice in how good it looks.

The next cool thing that OEM wont offer, is that KC can (no doubt) customize the color of the dash stripe. They worked really hard to match the red of mine, and I bet (if asked) they could customize that to different colors if that is something you wanted. I would ask them for sure, but I bet they could, which OEM cannot do.

The next option also is to setup a possible group buy with Karbonius. I have spoken with them a bunch and they are very open to the idea, but it obviously needs solid interest to get that kicked off.

3 to 5 kits 5% discount
5 to 10 kits 10% discount
10 or more kits 15% discount

This would help much up even more of that price differential. I am happy to kick off a GB effort if folks are interested!

I would be happy to coordinate a GB if folks are interested.. just chime in.

I was speaking of the F80 glossy CF kit. I can get it for roughly $2000 CAD here.

I asked about the stripe too, they said 80 Euros. Even if this is better than OEM I can't imagine that it's significantly better. It looks awesome to be sure, but I'd still end up paying $2000 CAD in the end. oCarbon quoted me $700 USD with shipping, which ends up being less than half the cost. Hard to justify. :\

More power to those of you who it would be cheaper for however or are willing to bite!

Ah ok.. was wondering where you were finding the OEM kits as Turner, ECS and others all show no longer available.

If roughly $1100 from KC, is roughly $1300 CA, without any other mods you would like to do of course. Why $2k?

Sorry those are EUR prices. The actual price is $1169 all in with shipping and custom stripe. 1169 EUR = $1785 CAD. Plus $353 of estimated duties once it arrives = $2138 all in.

I am still really impressed with this CF.. every SINGLE time I get into my car, I am so glad to see my piano black interior gone, and the quality of this CF. Just looks gorgeous, and a really high quality product.
