Why is the dial ringing so loud?

I notice that the "ringing" sound when I'm placing an outgoing call is super loud compared to when the person picks up.

It's also much louder than even media sources on same device (eg I'm playing a song through spotify at 40% volume, when I'm placing a calf the "ringing" sounds like it's 80% loud. After the call is connected, the person's voice sounds like it's still slightly louder than spotify but not the war deafening 80%.

Anyone else notice this?

bobbyd...nav, phone and entertainment each have separate volume settings. They're identified under the volume slider on the idrive screen as you adjust 'em.

LOWER the volume at your iDrive while it is ringing.

Yes but this won't address the issue. The volume of the call itself when it's connected is fine. It's just the ringing part while its trying to call the other party.

Technic nailed it, of course. If you adjust the volume while the call is ringing, it should say "ringtone" under the volume slider.

But this isn't about the ringtone for incoming calls. This is for outgoing calls
