Took delivery of my 435 M Sport
I wish I had better news about this but yesterday after signing all the paperwork I get into my new 435 and attempt to pair my iPhone and all of a sudden the windshield wipers turn on. I thought to myself that was weird especially being in San Diego where it rarely rains... They eventually stop after 4-5 times. Then they turned on again and this time I can't shut them off... The CA eventually comes out and try's to figure out the problem along with the finance guy. Nobody can figure out the problem. So basically I went from being super excited about the new car to being completely disappointed and driving home in my rental. Has anyone else had the same experience with a car that had the MPPK installed at the port??

Had mine installed at port. They screwed up and did not properly install my intake.

Congratulations and my condolences.
So, while in the "off" position on the stalk, your wipers are acting as if they're in the intermediate position? Or, (as I'm hoping, if I'm going to be any help) are your wipers are always left in the intermediate position on the stalk? For the first scenario, I can offer no help. This is an electronic problem best left to the BMW technicians. But, if you have left your wipers in the intermediate position, the wipers will swipe across your windshield at least once every time you start your car. They may also remind you they are on if you've got your car set to what we used to call "position 2" (That is, the instrument cluster idiot lights are on, the radio is on, the climate control fan is running, but the car's engine is not on.) If you're not doing it already, keep your wipers in the "off" position until you need them. This is BMW's fail-safe against us leaving our wipers active while going through car washes or turning on the car in extreme cold conditions where the wipers may still be frozen to the windshield. Yea this is def a electrical issue. I posted this because I was hoping someone knew of a similar situation and that the resolution wasn't too involved from a repair scenario. This is horrible because I didn't even get to drive it off the lot. Hopefully they will fix the problem and I will be able to drive it home soon!

Congrats on getting the coolest car around!
That experience sucks but it's probably just a software issue that they can fix quickly. Yeah bmws have their quirks... But you'll enjoy driving it!

Stunning car! but luckily you found the issues before accepting delivery. Hopefully just a simple coding error, don't think it would have anything to due with the MPPK.
Worst comes to worst, you can back out of the deal or get a new vehicle. |

Hope they fix it fast so you can drive that beauty. Did you get DHP, too? Looking forward to hearing how you like it.

I have ordered a '14 F34 and am seriously considering having the MPPT installed at port. How did you know the intake was not properly installed on yours? Did the dealer catch it or did you? Just curious.

Yeah total bummer for the issue. Beautiful car and can't wait to see your thoughts on it once it is fixed. Hopefully by them 'taking care of you' they actually take care of you and don't just hand you a BMW teddy bear.
