Non M-Sport rear diffuser
Hey guys, so first off I know some of you will say to do the M-Sport conversion. I actually like the front end of my Sportline 328i and wanted to just add some depth to the rear bumper.
I've found this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/BMW-F30-SEDAN...vxp=mtr&_uhb=1 What do you all think? Let's hear it... lol HAHAHA sorry, that's the front lip which I also want to install. But this is the thing I was actually trying to get feedback on. Rear diffuser: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Carbon-Fiber-...vxp=mtr&_uhb=1 OK, now GO! lol Last edited by Fanitron; 08-06-2014 at 10:52 AM.. That looks like a 3D Designs replica front lip. Its ok, but nothing compares to the M-sport with the splitter. I know I am not helping. LOL...

That looks really nice. Wish I could see it on the car to see how busy it looks. Also, fitment would be a concern of mine. I have a white sport line, and I would like a carbon fiber lip but there are like no options.

Yep, be VERRRRY wary of CF parts on eBay. If the fitment is off, your pieces are gonna look like trash. And that's the best case scenario.
I've never seen the rear, but it looks interesting. I think they captured the perfect angles but I have a feeling that'll look like garbage from other angles. Good luck! |

Anyway, just want some input on this as there is very limited selection for our non M-sport bumpers. |

I don't think it looks good at all. I'm in the same boat as you with a sport line. I love the look of the car from the front but the rear is very bubbly IMO especially in white. I think a rear m conversion is the way to go. Problem is cost is prohibitive. That's only reason I haven't done it.

You would have to buy the rear bumper, aftermarket bumpers are good fitmit. I had to buy a m sport kit and 335 diffuser cause the kit came with a 328 diffuser

Sorry for the late reply. My phone broke and forgot about this thread. I actually purchased one of these which looks almost the same except that it's not carbon fiber. There is no cutting involved. You literally just put it on top and it'll fit and even stay in place. I wouldn't recommend it though because the quality of the spoiler itself is pretty bad and there was all sorts of random marks and scratches on it. They provide you with screws which I wasn't comfortable with doing myself so I had a shop do it. My experience with the shop wasn't exactly spectacular either. However to their credit, they did do a fantastic job at painting and installing it.
This is the one I purchased. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-14-BMW-F3...51153987455%26 The carbon fiber one might be different but they look awfully similar so if you do end up needing to "cut" the diffuser dont blame me lol. ymmv. no idea how to upload a picture on this site...so i just did an imgur. View post on imgur.com thats what it looks like lol. Last edited by noein; 09-20-2014 at 01:53 AM.. |

I thought this thread was for the rear non-M bumper, something similar to this: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1020448

That diffuser also sticks out a great deal, not my cup of tea. I like the fitment of the OE or aftermarket diffusers on the M Sport bumper (i.e., more inset and and better shape/flow). |
