Bluetooth Installation
Hi guys,
I have a question concerning my BMW F31. I bought mine secondhand, it has no bluetooth installed, the car has almost no options (see VIN decode below). I'd like have a bluetooth connection with my phone to have the ability to make phone calls while driving. I've checked my trunk and there are no modules installed (see photo). My questions:

If you want an OEM Bluetooth solution you have pretty much three options:
- replace your radio HU with the one that supports Bluetooth. You will need a few other parts as well and you will not be able to use Bluetooth Audio - add Combox Media with full retrofit wiring. Most probably your radio HU does not have MOST, so you will have to replace it too. This option would give you enhanced Bluetooth including Bluetooth audio. - retrofit NBT/NBTEvo - you will get many new features including Navigation, enhanced Bluetooth, bigger screen, etc. This is the most expensive option. Each of the above options will allow you to retrofit the USB interface as well. |
